Interesting. I'll need to look that up.

Summer comin' up. Still liking the house upgrades?
Apparently the neurosurgeon decided to go for broke with me . He removed two disks and did a spinal fusion instead of the laminectomy . I was'nt informed of that , it takes a lot longer for the fusion to heal , no damd wonder it hurt so much . At least it's done and buys me more time before the next surgery , still have stenosis above L4-L5 but it's moderate for now . He did clear me to lift up to 30lbs so I got creative and rebuilt the pc I just built , wasn't happy with the case , wiring was a mess . Did have to strip the case down to the frame to get it up and on to my desk , too damd heavy otherwise . Also installed a portable AC in my room . It was delivered when I was in the hospital and my wife had laid it on it's side . Used a handtruck and a shovel to lever it upright pushed instead of lifting . Grass cutting is next on the agenda , gotta take it slow , my sense of balance isn't all that great right now but walking will help to regain my strength .

Seems the older we get , the faster years go by..............
    Don’t you know it!
Sorry y'all - been super busy the last 4 weeks with attorneys, my kids school stuff and teaching my daughter how to drive. The attorneys are for stupid stuff but still needed.

Prom was this passed weekend and my daughter's graduation is next month.

    Happy spring everyone!
It would kill me to hand car keys over to my daughter (if I had one).

I envy no one with major back problems. I know a lot of them. Did you know it could of ended with a fusion?

No I was told that my insurance would not ok a fusion without a zero nicotine blood draw 6 weeks in advance of the surgery the laminectomy was ok'd because it was an urgent situation . I have a feeling that the legal dept of the hospital got involved they would have been liable if they denied me proper care , medicare would have gotten involved as well . but I went in to the OR thinking it was just gonna be the laminectomy buncha BS from some militant anti nicotine dweebs here . None of this would have occured in NOLA . Scot's wife Berni has the same issues with her back , the docs fuss at her about smoking but denial of care is never mentioned . She had fusion done as well .

Morning..... Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms. Been nice weekend. Mowed the yard yesterday and that's all l 'm going to do. I'm glad the past week is done. It was crazy busy at work. This week was the big money maker for the florist shops. Plus I have been sick for few days. Nothing bad just a little congestion and really tired.

Hey Arm! Took up walking again. Last time which was some 7-1/2 years ago I got down to 180 lbs. Didn't want to go any lower. 180 is low enough. I'm a fairly stocky dude. But then, as usually happens, I went right back up. Reached 240 so I'm like enough of that nonsense. Gotta lose weight and do better keeping it off. So I'm hitting the pavement again. Tell you what, that's a lot of extra weight to carry around and I can feel it in my legs. It burns. So working my way into it. Started doing a half mile. Couple weeks later, .8 miles. Eventually have it at 1.15 miles now. I'll up that to 2 miles eventually.

Hey ya'll what's cookin! It's been busy here with family stuff, end of school, spring cleaning and just life moving way too fast.

My oldest just graduated HS (high honors and cum laude) this last weekend. The ceremony went perfect and the kids (and parents surprisingly) were amazing.

Because I dropped all social media back around 2017, I had lost contact with many of my old friends. I spent the better part of the last 4 months reconnecting with folks from my old neighborhood, elementary and high school.

Graduation parties are coming up in the next few weeks. I get to now invite some of the people I've really been missing from my past and they meet my family (some for the first time).

Stay safe and healthy everyone. Enjoy the weird spring weather and keep playing the music loud...

Dumping social media is always a smart thing to do. :)
