I had such a crazy emotional day yesterday. I woke to a voicemail entirely in Spanish and all I could make out was Abril, padre, hospital. Took a long time to sort that out. My Dad travels out of the country most of the year, caller ID was from Puerto Rico, it's all sorted out now, and everything is ok. But it was very unsettling. Language barriers are frustrating.

Yes, language barriers can be frustrating. Glad to hear your dad is ok.

Hey Chak! I bought some Smirnoff Ice Green Apple Bite and the Peach Bellini. YUM! I've got them in the basement in my beer fridge and they are really really cold. I think I like the Peach better.

I love the beach, especially Alabama and Florida beaches, but I have no desire to go to Mexico whatsoever. And I don't do Facebook either. So I guess that means I doubly suck. I was thinking of a short flight somewhere since my son has never flown. I think he would enjoy that. Although I think he's a lot like me...we prefer to drive. If we go anywhere this year it will probably be Panama City Beach Florida. We love it there.

Oh I am so ready for a week by the ocean! Thanks for posting those pics Dusty! We have yet to go to Senor Frogs but hoping to make it there this year. I'm ready mentally, but I gotta get my ..... together! The boys still need a few things clothing wise, and I've got no time to shop. Headed to the lake this weekend, then one more week of work before I start stuffing suitcases.. I dread that part. I think I'm going to pack light and re-wear stuff. Sometimes less choices is easier.

Hey Chak! I bought some Smirnoff Ice Green Apple Bite and the Peach Bellini. YUM! I've got them in the basement in my beer fridge and they are really really cold. I think I like the Peach better.

I love the beach, especially Alabama and Florida beaches, but I have no desire to go to Mexico whatsoever. And I don't do Facebook either. So I guess that means I doubly suck. I was thinking of a short flight somewhere since my son has never flown. I think he would enjoy that. Although I think he's a lot like me...we prefer to drive. Oh you should really give Mexico a chance.. It is top notch R&R... It is beautiful if you stay out of the cities. I'm not much of a shopper so we spend the majority of our time at the resort. My boys always meet other kids to hang out and play with.

Good evening Army!!! It's been a long couple of days here adjusting to a new schedule at work, I got moved to 1st for this week, and then will be off the next three with the plant being shut down. Finally got all caught up around here, sure was busy while I was gone. Hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday!

Slim, loving the pup pics!! Makes me want a new puppy here, although the wife would say we are good with the dog we have now...

MW, I know you are frustrated with the Kanger CoOp. I am not posting there any more for reasons I would rather not get into, but you are not out of line in expecting communication.

I only go there to read the last page or two to see if there's been another update from the host. I don't even bother to read the other post as I don't care how fed up they are and what they are threatening to do. I feel sorry for the host, however, she has brought most of it on herself by not communicating. It doesn't take that long to login and say, "Nothing's changed, I'm labeling as fast as I can. That is all."

I'm sure it's beautiful and I hope you have fun. Mexico is not my thing.

In PCB at the resort we stay at, they have a huge pool, kiddie pool/play place, game room, outside café, inside restaurant, beach access, beach bar, bar service anywhere on the property with pretty little Swedish girls in tiny black bikinis always there to take your order, all rooms have beach views. All the amenities you could ask for. It really is a wonderful place for us. Walking distance of everything. I park in the covered area and never have to get back in the car. Now I want to go!!!! But it's not cheap. If we don't go this year we will definitely go next year. I heard we may get pretty good raises coming up...and I got some unexpected money the other day...so maybe we can go this year. Cause when we go.....we go BIG!

I like any vacation, anywhere. I'll drive and stay in motels, or fly and stay in nice places, beaches, mountains, cities, middle of no-where. Doesn't matter.

It is pretty bad when you can't take 5 minutes out to login and write a sentence or two. This was my first CoOp and hate to say probably my last. I'm not in the big a bind to save money. I save quite a bit buying from Health Cabin as it is.

RJ, the main reason we do Mexico is that it's more affordable and all-inclusive. 2 teen boys eat a lot!
