I just stopped at a local cig shop and they had the EGO-T. It's very big how is the size comparison vs the riva. The EGO-T at the local shop is $79 I'm finding it online for $75 so not a big savings. The riva I found here: RIVA 510 Starter Kits for 38.50. If I go this route would you recommend the 1100 Mah or 650 mah?

Since the wife and I both smoke the store clerk suggested that one EGO-T kit should cover us as the battery life is virtually all day. Just would need to buy an extra charger to charge at night. Is this true?

Would the above be the same for the Rivo as well?

Thanks all or your inputs.

I believe, but not sure that the Ego is longer than the Riva

Liberty Flights carrys both and has a Riva Kit, 29.99 here's the link with 20% discount;
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

I've purchased from them, they are super quick and very helpful, I use the 650 mah with no problems, I would still recommend 2 kits, otherwise if one of the batteries dies or is charging you have a 2nd for each. Here's the ecf forum link;

higher nicotine content helps alot with throat hit, but can taste nasty with the wrong juice (i personally hate the taste of johnson creek therfore i hate blu). but getting a lower ohm cartomizer/ higher volt PV also helps but its cheaper to try different cartos first. i don't think blu even lists their ohm ratings but its proboly between 2.5 - 3.0. good luck and have fun!

You would be foolish to get a 650 mAh battery when you can get a 1000+ mAh battery. But why pay $15 - $20 for eGo batteries which only have a 200 recharge life when you can get E-Power 510 batteries for $4 (1050 mAh) and they have a 1000+ recharge life?????????

Plus the eGo is only 3.4 volts where as the E-Power is 3.7 volts. And do not believe the store clerk that it will last all day, especially not the 650 mAh battery. 5 - 6 hours unless you are a very light smoker or vaper.

Thanks WV2WIN. I have been researching for hours now. So at minimum I will get a 1000 mAh+ battery. Trying to find the as a complete starter kit can someone validate if this is a complete starter kit? GotVapes E-POWER Replaceable Battery eGo Kit - BLACK 18650 [gotvapes-epower-black18650] - $53.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I see the price difference on the replacement batteries. We're is the best place to buy the E-Power set up? Best in stock right now for the Rivo is RIVA 510 1100 mAh Manual Starter Kit | Electronic Cigarette | Neusmoke

Throw another loop in here how is the volcano inferno?

Thanks again all.

You can also use the eGo type units with an LR atomizer/carto to "simulate HV vaping" but if your after hit-quality you may just want to go strait to the HV stuff and skip "simulating" anything. The HV stuff lasts longer (LR atties fail quicker as a general rule).

Whistle tips are flat. Can be used (as mentioned above) for atomizers and some cartos.

another option for the egoT type batteries are the dual coil cartomizers, which perform like low resistance cartomizers but last much longer, since they're made of two 3ohm coils in parallel (and appear as a single 1.5ohm coil to the battery).

as for tips, can't say one is better than the other, i've tried both, have no preference myself. although the round ones (usually called drip tips) tend to have bigger holes through which you can inhale (or drip if you're using an open atomizer) so might make it easier to inhale.

Since I didn't have a lot of money to waste and wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to 5 volt. I bought an egot-t (didn't want to be filling cartridges all the time) and some dual coil cartomizers. OMG I loved the dual coil with a drip tip less effort to draw on. Then since I knew I liked warmer vapor my son and I made a puck mod.

Congrats on narrowing down the choices. For the E-Power although $4.00 more this site gives you 30 ml free juice
Crystal Clear Vaping
and you can also order their 15 packs of Resurrector cartos with a free syringe and drip tip- a really good deal IMHO

Good Luck, Vapoor.

Everyone thank you so much. I took multiple advices from here. I purchased the E-Power 510 1150 mAh. I was also able to go to ElectronicStix.Com Your Premier Vaping Vendor Since 2008 locally and purchase it. I did add I believe a few upgrades. Got a drip tip with a tank and a few of there flavors. It is finally going to be my cig replacement. I'm getting a great TH. So far I like the otter pop grape, the Hot cinnamon. Also got a few others. I'm going to mess around with the flavors the next few days and then Sunday night fill up the tank with my favorite to see how long it last. Time to start tracking savings.

Once again everyone thanks for the help.

One big fact with the Blu disposable is they are 24mg - the rechargeables are 18mg - not enough nicotine. I was a Marlboro Red smoker and had the same experience as you are having. The Blu disposable was good for an intro, but the rechargeable pen type eCig just doesn't cut it for the long haul. Purchased a Pig Cig and that is working nicely.

Everyone is recommending the Kgo/Ego, but I have a suggestion. I like what the first guy said. Go with 5 ohms! Or a variable voltage mod. I have the Kgo, and 6 weeks into vaping, I already feel like 5 ohms is the way to go. I need an upgrade too.

The store I stopped in had all but the KGO to include numerous mods. Someone even made his own 5 V mod out of an altoids tin. I did upgrade to the 1.8% nic and I'm getting almost two strong of a hit. Going to use these flavors up and then grab a 1.2% and see if it is not so harsh. So I guess my question for you is have you messed with the nicotiana levels to see if that would help. Getting some of the bigger mods and set ups were very big. Believe I will pick up a small ego battery and use that as I drive to vap then use the E-power every where else.

With the E-power it is very big any find a good case or bag to carry it around in?

I think you mean 5 volts. But, yes, 5 volt models will give you warmer vapor and better throat hit without using LR attys and cartos. They are more consistent than using LR attys/cartos, also.

Also what brand do I go with. I plan on refilling with juice but there are so many different selections. Would one with the button be a better option?

My thoughts based on reading reviews on this forum are:

Joyce 510 brand not sure what one.
A vapor king
Or ego-t

When I started about a year ago I got one of those super cheap ones that look like a cigarette, with cartomizers. The cartomizers didn't last at all and I couldn't use the thing while it was charging. On top of all that I bought it from a storefront in person, so it cost me about 75 dolalrs!

Then I got a Joye eGo. This seemed awesome. Set me back even more money. Again, I bought from storefront. I loved being able to drip instead of running through more expensive cartomizers. But the same problem, I couldn't charge it and use it at the same time.

So I splurged on a GGTS (made by imeothanasis) and I love it. First, it doubled the voltage of my eGo (because of the battery configuration I chose) Second, I have multiple sets of batteries so not only can I charge one set while using another, I can take fresh batteries with me so I can "recharge" the thing even if I'm nowhere near an outlet.

I would recommend the eGo to start I guess. (eGo T is the tank one right? I would try it, depending on how much the cost means to you. vaporkings.com has them for $75 right now. Get some low resistance atomizers to increase the amount of vapor. This might help with throat hit. If not, or not enough, try out a liquid vendor (perhaps vikingvapor.com) who offers increased throat hit juice.

Hope this helps!

Yup! 5 volts. I was at a vape meet and I tried some VV mods. I was told that the sweet spot is 5 volts; it seemed to be true. After vaping 5 volts, my Kgo seems like a Tinkertoy :) But with the 1.25 dual coil cartos, it is pretty sweet.

If you want to play around with variable voltage on the cheap with something that is well made and reliable, try the $35 vv box mod from Madvapes. You can go from 0v-7.4v and it uses a standard 510 (eGo style) thread. It's really a good deal for the price. You will need a charger (about $15) and a couple of 14500 batteries (About $7 apiece).
