Love my X, rta and dripper and when I get to Stuttgart, well I'm going to pin Chris down and get him to show me how to stop the weeping from the bottom, it drives me INSANE!

On the X (don't know about the dripper, way too airy for me), a _tightly packed_ bed of cotton isn't optional (the deck is really filled to the brim). The coil wicks on the other hand are extremely short (cut flush with the deck) and just laid on top of the cotton bed.

Hey there,
I have a Kayfun V5 and I like it so far...but still want something new, better :)
...i'm into DTL, vaping fruity and custard liquids.

Before vaping the kayfun, I vaped the cleito for a long time. Loved the flavour at 40-50 W.

What tank is your recommendation? Skyline, rose v3, corona v8 and hussar sound interesting for me...but will they suit my taste?

Best regards

Hmm, none of those are dtl... or really made for 40-50 watts for that matter but you can increase your coil mass... I'm thinking the rose maybe comes closest? since its got the most space in the deck and largest... deckholes? to give you room for claptons and whatnot, and also it has the loosest draw in that bunch.

Of those ones you mentioned that I've owned or tried, (all except Corona v8 I know nothing about that) I've used them at around 25watts? I think (tbh the only time I think about wattage is if my coil isn't hitting temp fast enough)

I vaped my V5 at 35-40 and now using the hussar usually bellow 30 watts. I run a Clapton @ .45 and flavor is pretty good.

Running Rose V3 with twisted SS316L 26gauge 5 wraps 3mm 0,29ohm on 30W (40W preheat) 220C and it's just a wonderful warm dens vape. I have open only 1 hole on both sides and TC rarely kick in.

40-50W with such built and everything open is probably the upper limit of this tank.

Maybe 1-2 more wraps could use more power but the tank will get hot.

Unfortunately my rose has been plagued with leaking out of the 510, it's one of my favorite atomizer but I just can't have it leaking into my mods like that, and can't be bothered with cleaning it up all the time... I think it may have something to do with the little O ring inside the collar, from the time I got it, it looks like it might of been chewed up a bit.

BTW has anyone else had leaking out of that? Idk how it gets there but if I leave it on a mod for a day and take it off the 510 will be full of juice.

Also does anyone know where to get the little reducers for the Hussar single coil deck like the clones have? Not been able to find those, and how do I get just an ultem nano tank without the chimney and top fill peice I already have?

They seem to be pretty good at sorting out and resolving issues with their products, but certainly don't take kindly to criticisms of them LOL.

If you join their FB page I am sure they will sort out the issue for you. Obviously it is a pain in sending in the RTA to the UK but they might be able to send you a new pin or o-ring to resolve the issue.

I won't ever buy an Eden Mods device again. Rose 3 and Snappy were disasters in my opinion. I sold them both a while back (and I very seldom sell gear) sorry I can't recall if I had the same problem as you. However I definitely had leaking though the 510 on the Snappy as did many people. I also removed myself from their FB group as I was sick of reading sarcastic and unhelpful posts by the modder and his offsider.

Let us know how you get on

Yeah, maybe I should sell it too... It is kind of a pita.

You know the weird thing, there was a couple of times I took the deck apart to clean and afterwards it didn't leak, maybe it has to do with how tightly you screw it all back together.

PITA was my reason for selling them. The good points weren't good enough to outweigh the bad. Hearing the modder publicly slag off the machining of a Skyline was enough to put me off them too.

I might be silly, but I just found that it all left me with a bad taste in my mouth - figuratively speaking ;-)

Did you mean lee? What did he say, I wonder if that is their reason for putting out the video of all the cnc and everything.

No, Andy magically got a Skyline with a mark on it and posted it on a dicodes group saying the machining was rough on a high-end atty. It was very off, hypercritical and bad form in my opinion. Lee is just ... well ..dunno ???

I saw on FB that Eden offers a special-sized O-ring which you would need put into the full-disassembled positive post, to stop that 510 leaking. Not everyone got that problem (I did), machining tolerances I guess..

Out of them, I would recommend the Corona (I don't have the V8 upgrade, but it's just a extended tank, same vape etc.) -- running it at ~40W, dense flavor & clouds guaranteed. :)

Do you know the size of that o ring? rather buy it myself than through eden mods.

tbh I think there were tolerance improvements that could be made on both, though on the skyline it's just a couple of minor little things while on the rose has an issue that keep me from actually using it. The rose has been out quite a while from what I can tell people are still having problems like mine.

I can't speak for anyone else but when I pay more than 200 dollars for an atty I expect close to perfection, but just bashing for the sake of bashing is another thing.

I still consider the ubertoot my fave & the last atty that was actually worth the cost of what I paid, machining damn near perfect, perfect draw, chimney diameter, vapor density etc. for me personally that is.

I had same problem but I fixed it with 2 o'rings that I stashed at the lower end of positive pin. Now no more leaking.

But I still have problems with juice getting trapped inside positive pin. After cleaning and rebuilding it's not a problem, but after few days or if deck gets flooded too much I can hear entrapped juice/condensate evaporating after releasing the fire button. This is especially noticeable if I MTL as legs don't get hot enough to dry the hole. Usually at this time resistance changes and if I'm not careful cotton gets burned and I have to rewick. When I thoroughly clean the Rose 3 dense sticky residue is seen on positive pin that needs soaking and cleaning with a toothbrush.

I have seen some people put cotton on the deck making some kind of bed for trapping juice/condensate, some adjust JFC so the deck can dry. I figured it's best to leave tank turned upside down overnight and to be careful with juice flow. With this method I can vape 4-5 tanks without problems.

With all this problems, Rose is still my favorite tank. Taifun GT3 needs much less maintenance, taste and airflow smoothness are in the same ball park, and I love when I don't have to drip juice to refill but just pore it directly from the bottle. But still, the feel of Rose is much better. It's like comparing Italian Alfa Romeo 159 to German VW Passat. On paper Passat is better and more reliable car, but when I can choose I always drive Alfa. :)
