Somewhere out there
I think the bottom line is, people just want to be left alone to do what they want. As long as it is not harming anyone else, what is the problem. No one likes anyone telling them what to do be it it a parent, spouse or Uncle Sam. As for nicotine being dangerous, well yes it depends on concentration. But there are tons of poisonous dangerous chemicals in USA, try gasoline, not too healthy for drinking but it is everywhere! brnk

If the person gets behind the wheel drunk, and kills your child, then come back and tell me about it.

Seriously, if you are drinking and getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, your way OUT is to prove you are not drunk by taking a breathalizer. If you can't pass the test then I'm all for taking away your license, impounding your car and putting you on foot for a while. If you won't take the test then you have probably had too much to drink. Should they just let you go? how are they going to prove that you shouldn't be behind the wheel without tests of some sort???

this is no joke. Drinking and driving KILLS INNOCENT PEOPLE. call a cab if you don't want to follow the laws.

totally off topic but think about this for a minute....if it were not a blood alcohol test regarding drinking+driving....
you really think it is ok for "officials" to touch you and by force take or give something from/to your body without your consent?
I don't.
if you have the right to remain silent you should also have the right to refuse.
BUT....consent was more than likely given when you were issued your driver's license (which most ppl don't realize)

drinking/driving:
in my area you can refuse the (ridiculously flawed) breathalyzer field test...unfortunately that also carries an automatic 12 month loss of your driving privilege...without being convicted of a DUI

if you think that DUI arrests are about "safety" you are hoooorrrrrribly mistaken....they are about revenue.

now texting or using a cell phone while driving...i could only dream of that being enforced as zealously! LOL

Exactly! You have the right to NOT incriminate yourself yet that isn't my real issue here regardless. I have a problem with the invasive and forced removal of blood from a human body ... if they can justify doing this for the purposes of 'Public Safety' and no one has a problem with it, just think of the creative uses that will ensue in the future, all in the interest of 'Public Safety'.

You may be okay with relinquishing your civil rights in hopes of improved 'Public Safety' but I for one am NOT! (Said to Racehorse, not Hottie!)

I'm a maker of e-liquid and I just got wind of this. The DHS is coming down on us too with notices of venders. ANd now i'm needing an fda clearance for our shippments from China. The FDA is starting to crack down on us. I'm worried this is the end.

What sort of notice of vendors is DHS giving out?

Did you need any sort of FDA clearance before this? Did you need clearance from ANY federal agency before this?

What sort of clearance is FDA now requiring of you?

This is what we as a country have been doing for quite some time now.
Some people consider it progress.

I don't know if it's creeping Socialism, New World Order, or 1984 coming true.
But I'm not sure I'd call it progress.

Have you contacted CASAA for assistance?
At least to make them aware of this?

Since so many folks here on ECF do buy liquid from China, and based on your post could be impacted as well, you would be doing the Forum a favor, IMO, if you could post any additional details ..

I've been trying to obtain evidence about the claim made in the title of this thread (and in several seemingly contradictory postings by RTSVapes on another thread), but all I've seen in this thread are conspiracy theories and anti government rants.

I've left a voice mail message and sent an e-mail to Randy Slabey at RTSVapes offering my confidential assistance, but he has not yet responded. Perhaps his attorney(s) has/have instructed him to not talk or otherwise communicate with anyone about this situation, or perhaps there are other reasons why he hasn't responded.

But I would urge everyone to not jump to any conclusions (as many posters on this thread have already done) about this situation, as there is clearly more to this story than what is stated in the postings on ECF by RTSVapes.

Nice ... let's join the conversation first by trashing everyone who's posted ...

^^^what oplholik said^^^

I'm glad to know Bill Godshall is on top of this/these situation(s). It's upsetting on a personal level to read about these incidents. When they lack details, my first reaction is usually to assume the worst. However, I do try to step back and look at it objectively, which is why I posted the questions I did in reply to trigimon's post. Stopped following the RTS situation when more information was not forthcoming.

I do not own a tin foil hat, but I do have a thing for identifying and following trends, in this case the ongoing "vendetta" against ecigs and THR. In my "trend spotting" file, the thread subject and trigimon's post are listed under "Possible developing trend?" No more than that, but worth monitoring just in case.
