Homemade syringe tank mod, looks easy!

I'm actually thinking that they don't last as long. To me, since they stay wet, the filler seems to clog faster than it does when you run it dry and rewet it. My carto has only lasted a little over a week and it actually needed replaced a couple of day ago. I could normally get almost a 2 full weeks out of them before the tank.

For me, the filler doesn't seem to clog more quickly, but it does eventually get clogged and somewhat sticky. I was thinking this was due to running a larger total volume of liquid through it than I normally do without a tank. I've added some vodka (I keep some in a dripper bottle) straight to the carto filler, and that seems to unclog it a little (IME this will force some juice out of the battery end hole). That seems to perk up the wicking some. In my last fills I've just started adding some vodka to the juice before I fill the tank. I'm hoping that will keep the filler from getting as sticky with the larger volume of juice that eventually runs through it in a tank.

I've never gotten two weeks out of a carto before cleaning though, so... I don't know.

I think people are using different single coil carto's like Boge or DC carto's (These are longer) So you may need to build your tanks different lengths depending on what you use. From my experience in the last week these tanks are wonderful. The side stopper is just a very good way to fill it, without a needle and keep the extra air out of it so it won't push fluid out the battery end.

I asked 'bout those earlier with no response. TSC didn't have any... So now off to find the 1ml syringes.

Looks GREAT! Although the 3 ml works fine, it is a large 'wart'...

ETA: I don't mind using syringes... I just dislike the plunger 'invasion'...

We have a biohazard disposal thing in the bathroom here at work that I would never consider myself. I guess if you were really really desparate to find one of those syringes you could search something like that out

For those of you refillling these with a syringe, do you think these tanks will lose integrity by continually puncturing with the needle? Mine seem to be flooding just a tiny bit for no reason, no big deal, might be just me. I'm definitely going to put a fill port in them when I get a chance.

I got my new tanks today and I fill them only 3 quarters of the way, then fill the carto It works wonderfully NO LEAKS!!!! Yayyy

Are you filling like the video you first posted? Where is it leaking? I'm getting very, very close if you know what I mean.

I'm filling it the same way. I'm just getting an occasional small gurgle for no reason, that's all. I was just wondering how many holes can be punched through the rubber before it's too much.

I assume you are filling with a needle from the top like it showed in the video, so punching a bunch of holes in the second ring? When it gurgles, do you mean it has a gurgling sound when you vape it and seems like it floods the battery connector??

Yep, filling exactly like in the video, never covering the airhole in the carto. It's not a filling problem. It'll just start gurgling a little bit during vaping. The batt connection might get moist, but not truly flooded.

I lifted my black rubber up enough to get the needle in between the rubber and the polycarbonate, replaced the rubber and vaped I seen in the video where the needle went through the rubber and I was leary about that part, so I just lifted the rubber enough to get the needle in between

I don't know either what causes it, mine does too like when you over fill a cartomizer and need to blow it out, but you can't blow out a tank or it leaks worse in my experience. I added a fill port today with the 3ml syringe plunger and it makes it nice to fill. I did have a hard time getting a nice hole and found that if I drilled a small hole first and then a larger one then the finish size it worked better, then had to take the burrs out with a X-acto knife. Anyway maybe some of the other folks here will give us some good info about the slight flooding problem and how to avoid it. I really like the tanks and want to get them to work as good a possible.
