I just wanted to try the lower ohm carts to see what the difference was compared to the higher ones. The 3ohm works better on my Provari at higher voltage for me. It has a nice popping and crackling that goes on in it. The 2ohm, I feel burns softer. They still work well, but I prefer the higher ohms.
Why 3.0 ohm ricks???? Any particular reason???? What do you use 2.0 ohm for and 3.0 ohm for ricks????

Anyways, some people are experiencing a rubber taste when they make these. It could be from the syringe's they use or something else. I wanted to reply because I thought it might be because of the cart heating up the rubber caps. If you're heating up the rubber caps then it is quite possible that this is causing rubber taste when you vape. I am not sure how carts are made or where the heating element (coil) is located. If the heating element is located more in the center of the cart you probably won't experience this issue. If the heating element is more towards the one end or the other of the cartomizer, it is a good chance you will heat up the rubber. Also chain vapeing might effect it also.

It may be that dual coil carts have the heating elements spread more towards the ends of the cartomizer instead of more in the center (like on regular carts) so there is a higher chance of getting that "rubber" taste since the coils are hotter and closer to the rubber ends.

Hey Iffy, I know you're a fan of the eMDCC, as am I. How do you find this syringe mod compares to the EMDCC? Better? Worse? Similar? Apples and Oranges in a way, but I'm just curious...

Thus far I'm very pleased with the syringe mod. With well over two days vaping per load (in rotation, of course) and over a week into it, with no discernible vapor/taste/draw degradation thus far, I like a lot! Yes, apples vs. oranges, but the mod, for me, is a very viable option.

Only with at least a month under the belt, can I really compare the longevity of the smaller cartos in da tank. Time will tell...

With the perceived drop in the post original MV cartos performance, I'm really enjoying the syringe project and its results. I know you've been following the eGo MEGA DUAL COIL thread and only mention it for those that haven't.

Hopefully, the vendors and manufacturers will listen to us and return to the original eMDCC configuration that I still love to vape (only have two left!)

I have ordered some of THESE with hopes to replicate the orig.

how long are these xl dual coil cartomizers?

From threads to da udder end, right at 2"; same as the CVV dual coils I've been using.

ETA: I love the lower ohms cartos due to having so many eGo (3.2-3.4 VDC) batts. Plus I don't have to pump up my Buzz Pro as much. Love the 3.7-4.2 VDC range with the LRs!

Great thread - great idea - great info; did the mod, no leaking from the tank or carto - but the carto floods. Have tried slits, punching, and drilling; one slit two slits, one hole two holes; currently at one hole 1/16" in diameter (can barely see the polyfill @ 10x magnification). No matter what I do the carto floods. Have tried with six cartos all Boge.

Can anyone please provide some info on what I am doing wrong????

What I do now is fill the carto to make sure it works. Then I put it in a tank. Did you put a fill hole in the tank? I would suggest one if you didnt. Most important, what brand of carto are you using?

OK, not sure my observations are truly your issue... but when I took my tri-slot carto/tank apart to install a 3ml fill plug and reassembled, I had bottom end leaking. Salvaged what nicquid I could and noticed that I had joose twix the two plunger's 'bottom' ridges. Cleaned the plunger and reinstalled. No flooding or leaking since. I think I had a bit of 'capillary' action pulling air into the tank. As I said, cleaned, reinstalled and no further leaks.

Just another possibility, when the plungers are installed, insure that there is no plunger flexing where the carto goes through. In other words, release as much tension on the plungers as possible.

Hey, these are just SWAGs. Regardless, good luck! Keep us posted...

Well, since the EMDCC is basically just a much larger carto, I'm beginning to think about doing a little testing that involves a syringe mod and one of the EMDCCs that I will be ordering in a day or two.

I'm thinking this could be due to LR cartos. LR's tend to burn very very hot. This could be leading to the heating of the rubber from the syringes. Might be better to use tanks with higher ohm cartos. *shrug*
