I started vaping about 2 years ago- but usually had a few cigs each day too.. then I switched to strictly vaping at home (except for my morning coffee) and anaolgs while at work or in public- about 8-12 each day, down from a pack+ each day. this past Friday afternoon, I ran out of cigs, said "enough!" and now only vaping. feeling really good about this, mentally anyway.

I'm coughing, my lungs hurt, lost my voice, I feel like crap, breaking out pretty bad..

noticing the benefits- my teeth feel cleaner, no more smell, sleeping better, money in my pocket, etc, etc..

how long did it take to get out of this "detox" after you quit cigarettes for good?

I really wish I knew. I was a PAD+ for over 20 years. Started gaping about 3 weeks ago and quit analogs that day. I have yet to have a cough, have black stuff coming out of my lungs, or any other physical changes to my body. I can tell my sense of smell has improved, at least for the smell of cigarettes and smokers. I can smell someone lighting up from quite a distance now (which I am still finding pleasurable) and can smell someone who just put one out from quite a distance too. That actually smells disgusting to me now and I can't believe I used to smell like that.

I really wish I was having the other physical changes such as the coughing up stuff out of my lungs. At least that way I would know this is actually doing me some good. I haven't really noticed much different in the way food tastes yet. Maybe that's to come.

detox with vaping, about 1 month to get all the more nasty chemicals from your tobacco addiction out of your body. another 2 months to remove trace chemicals from your organs. nicotine leaves your body between 48, and 72 hours. after 2 weeks you are basically no longer dependent on nicotine. hydration , and determination are a must. it can be done, as today i am over 7 days nicotine free.

I have been vapeing for close to a year. Took about a month to get through the detox. The other thing I noticed that I loved, was the severity of my colds, or rather the lack there of. Every year it didn't matter what I did, if I got a cold I got bronchitis. This year I didn't and my colds didn't last as long and the most I got was the sniffles.

Still detoxing. It's been just over a month since I stopped smoking completely, and I think I'm over the worst of it. I had problems with my nose getting all dried up even though I was drinking the equivalent of a bathtub full of water every day. Saline nasal spray helped clear that up in about a week. Still getting some spots, but my skin looks so much better overall! Keep at it!

I'm so happy with how much better my skin looks!

I have been vaping for only a month and I must say that the transition was very smooth for me. I was smoking almost 2 packs a day and I vape a 24mg liquid. My biggest thing was that my pv is a lot bigger than an analog and that took a little getting used too. I actually held an analog and put it in my mouth to mimic smoking for about 2 days!
