Happy Holidays everyone!!! I have been vaping for about 2 months & have been completely off the analogs for 8 days now!!! I never thought I would be able to quit smoking but here I am, tobacco free & feeling great! I was a PAD smoker so I would normally spend about $150-$200/month on cigarettes, so spending $$$ on e-cigarettes was easily justified..however, to date I have spent over $500 on ecig products & juice's..there just always seems to be something I want or need, & i love getting new stuff in the mail too..lol...im not complaining because I enjoy everything about vaping and it is going to have a huge affect on my health. This could definitly turn into an expensive hobby(or addiction)...and im ok with that, lol... I was just wondering if anyone else feel like this? & how much did u spend ur 1st month or 2 vaping? or how much have u spent to date? just curious :)

I've been vaping for four months. In that time I've spent just under £500, however I set myself a target of not ordering anything for the last month, which I achieved. Otherwise this figure would have been much higher as I would have probably got a VAMO and an evic when they came out, plus experiment with dct tanks as well. I've stuck with the trusty Lambo and viva Novas which haven't left me lacking.

Welcome to ECF . I have been at this for awhile , but as a guess , I probably spent 200.00 in the first two or three months . After that , I got into the expensive stuff , and kinda went crazy . I was a 2 pad smoker for 40 years , so I was spending upwards of 300.00 per month on cigarettes . I now have spent at least 2500.00 on E-cig stuff , but that's still less than would have been spent on the alternative . Plus , in my book , my improved health , and well being is worth whatever I have spent . So no rergrets here .

i have accounted for pretty much all of my spending, in the time that i have been vaping, i have spent $500, granted i have juice to last me months and months, shoot when people say that they go through 5ml a day, icouldn't vape that much if i tried, and i was a PAD smoker lol!
Also i have 4 ego batteries and 1 mod that is kind of like the mvp but IMHO cooler

Honestly I don't think I spend that much, for me I started with a starter kit and few bottles, probably totaling about $90, then I started on mods a few months later, spent about $100 on a new mod that broke right away, then got the Mako Middi and Maksi for about $100 per and I've been using those for about 3 years now without buying another mod until today. Replacement parts and atomizers probably totaling about $300 in 3 years. I do use a 20mil bottle per week of 36mg though, which totals about $60 per month, so all in all I made quite a bit of savings over smoking.

From 10/21: -$1,331.18, most of it was in trying to find things that work well for me. I'm good on devices, heads and juice now, won't be spending anymore unless need to replace something. Current break even date is 5/5/2013 and it will push out a bit as I need to replace things, but I'll eventually get there.

If I didn't have to do it/learn on my own at first I could have spent a lot less, but I'm off cigarettes and that's the important thing :).

That cost is not too bad. Just think what your potential doctors bills could be if you continued smoking cigarettes.

Being a bit of a geek, I keep a pretty close eye on how much I'm spending. That being said, I did not start vaping to save money, it was purely to quit smoking.

To date, I have spent just at $800, and "saved" $600, so $200 in the hole. But of that $800 spent, the vast bulk of it has come from either gift cards or a nice gift card award I got for being employee of the month (and I still have money left from that, big order coming after Christmas).

I knew I would spend a substantial amount to start, as I would be looking for the right mix of equipment and juice. I expect to break even and start saving mid year 2013 (if I can quit buying every shiny new thing I see).

Actually, it's the cigarettes that stunk.

In just over a year, I have spent exactly $ 1,934.52 on e-cig stuff. I am still a few hundred shy of breaking even vs. cigarettes, but I now spend about $50-75 a month on supplies, so it won't be long now. Oh, and it was worth every stinkin' penny! :D
