How much were cigs when you starting smoking?

I've only had 1 issue on a battery that developed the same day it arrived and it was taken care of promptly. As long as the vendor gives enough time for me to make sure the item/s are going to preform as they should it doesn't matter to me after that, most problems arise early on anyway.

.35 pack. I remember gas at the same. It was nothing to stop and get a dollars worth of gas. I'm getting nostalgic!

My first sort of real job was at a gas station when I was 16. One day a guy rolled in with a Caddy running on fumes. I watched in wonder as the gas pump rolled over when it hit $9.99.

I think I bought my first pack for about $1.75. I was going to quit when I heard the price was going to go over $3.00. Then I was REALLY going to quit when they hit $5.00.

I bought my last pack for $6.40.

I remember in 1971, my husband and I got home from germany , the cigs were about 90 cents a pack, so that when I started buying them by the cartons because they were 7.50 for a carton.

Ok I'd say your about 70 years old or you started smoking when you were a toddler, because I bought them in 1959 for my Dad for 20 cent a pack, I was nine then, so by the price you paid for the smokes, should put you around 70 unless you were in the army and bought them on post, that could bring your age down about ten years.

They were $2.50 a pack in Connecticut during the 70's for my roommate and I want to say $3-$4 in the 90's when I started. And those were name brand, not generic.

I started 20 years ago this summer. If I remember correctly, Camel Lights were .99 a pack, $1.05 after taxes. Of course, I was still buying leaded gas at 89 cents a gallon.

Yeah, 20 cents a pack in 1949. I can remember when the first fiber filter cigarettes came out, I think they were Viceroy's - not sure about that. Anyhow, the old man down the road from us would smoke the cigarette then chew the filter.

Ranchers were tough back in those days in s/w New Mexico.

Seems like around 70-75¢ a pack. I didn't start buying cartons until a few years later when I turned "pro." By then a carton was around $15 but I could talk my USAF buds into buying them for me in the BX for $10. That was about a decade before President Clinton turned Myrtle Beach AFB into a housing project.

When I started many moons ago you could get them out of a cigarette machine for 25 cents a pack. (started when I was 12, 43 years ago)

I don't remember pack price, but I remember them being $17 a carton in NY.. now sheesh.. I heard they are up to 50-70 depending on the brand.
