Will be 58 in a couple of months, quit smoking cigarettes after 42 years. Been using an e-cig since last june. I'm so grateful for the invention of the e-cig.

Hey BigD,

Saw your message about 58 Years, 42 smoking and just to let you know, I'm 56, 39 years of smokin'.

I quit analogs a little over a year ago, vape a Chuck (great ecig, by the way) and I am amazed at the improvements in my health.

I never was a "sick" smoker, but at night I could hear the little wheezes at the end of my breath, some occasional little popping noises, etc.

It's all gone. I can smell everything. I remember a month in someone put a plate down in front of me and it smelled so good I was just flabbergasted- so frickin' awesome! My general energy levels are up too.

I realize that I may have replaced one habit with another, and that it *might* be preferable overall to not vape at all... (the jury is still out on that in my mind- especially for low-nic vapers) but o man... I wish there were substitutes for all my other habits that would have this much positive impact on my overall health....

Cheers to you and the OP. :toast:

PS: I think I said exactly the same thing you did, only in a whole lot more words

My signature is my story and I'm sticking to it.

My Avatar is what I looked like about 10 years ago. You don't want to see what I look like this morning.

I'll be 75 in a few weeks and began smoking at the legal age of 18. If smoking corn silk out behind the barn counts, then I began before then. Changing over to ecigs was about the same thing as changing brands of cigarettes and I hardly noticed the difference.
