Well this vaping lark has really worked for me I turn 44 in March and smoked 60+ cigs a day for 25 years, it's 2.5 years since I started vaping and despite a hell of a lot of stress over the last couple of years in both my professional and personal life I never once was tempted to go back to burning tobacco, the smell alone was enough to stop that idea, it's funny how I could never smell them when I smoked.

A big thanks has to go out to Imeo and his GG products, I couldn't have stuck to my guns using cartridges or dripping, it would have been impossible at work even all my bottom feeders I got shortly after I realised I like vaping and it worked well enough to turn me off smoking were too fragile at the time and tended to burn out atomisers but hated dripping and pissy little cartridges which at the time held about 20 minutes worth of vaping lol. Undoubtedly I would have ended up turning to cigs, especially when every single person I know here smokes cigs, they're damn near impossible to convert too as they see vaping as fake smoke, a real man smokes the real deal according to those idiots, I'm sure they'll change their mind when they develop Emphysema, one of the guys already runs out of wind walking up a flight of stairs at the mine and has to stop to catch his breath every landing lol. Though I may have the new guy that just started seriously thinking about it after trying mine and hearing the price it costs to run compared to cigs, currently $25 for a pack of 40 and about to go up another 20% or so. The price of his line almost turned me off until I realised how much I was saving on smokes (a weeks smoking pays for it for me, a fact which sunk in to the new guys head lol) even after I fell into the newbie trap of trying nearly everything on the market at the time.
The GGTS and AVS which was the go to tank at the time seemed to make the atties last a lot longer as they were always moist and the flow control was brilliant to avoid any flooding, truly innovative back then and talk about indestructible, they went to hell and back and I still have that Aluminium one sitting on the shelf with pride despite all the nicks, scratches and weld spatter lol.
Now of course I have the latest Stainless steel model and the Odysseus rebuildable atty which is a piece of cake to rebuild and cheap as chips to do so :) I've tried all the Genesis mods but wasn't happy with the fragility of them at work and most aren't pocket friendly, especially when hanging by a harness a hundred or more feet in the air, the GG fell from such a height more than once and the worst that happened was a squished end cap (totally closed the vent holes lol) even then it was replaced by Imeo at the time for the cost of shipping :)

All the other PV's or Mod's I own could stand a chance in hell of surviving with only a few scratches so they've all been retired and either given away or sold bar a few which I've kept for the sake of collecting lol. I do like the taste from a genesis mod but hate the occasional dry hit if not held right and the leaking juice factor when trying to keep it in a pocket or anywhere other than upright in a stand or coffee cup and they can be fiddly to get set up right, I definitely can't rebuild one in the 5 minutes it takes me for an Ody even though once set up the stainless steel wick does last longer than a silica one and tastes a bit stronger.

Damn it sounds like I'm here working for Imeo promoting his products but I'm not, they just work so well for me especially at work and on the road and I highly recommend them for any Tradesmen working in a tough environment, there are others out there now that are probably as durable but none have all the features like air and juice control, with those I get a perfect hit every time and it's so easy to notice the slight drop off in taste when the tank is empty so never a dry hit :)

Well my kids all say I am 29 and holding:laugh: Funny I think they are just making sure mom remembers them on their bdays, lol.Nah they know I am 43.
I started consciously smoking around 12-13. Why? Why not? Everyone else did, small town, etc. It dawned on me when I started vaping that I had smoked for 33 years.
I know for a fact that the culture around me is what got me started. My parents, grandparents, neighbors, everyone smoked, that's just the way it was. They still had smoking areas when I was in high school, it was that prevalent. Some of the teachers were out there too, lol. So it was just the norm then and there. It just wasn't that big of a deal.
I gave up quitting about 6 years ago. Was thinking about the chantix, but didn't like what everyone I know that used it had to say about it.
When my mom the chain-smoking queen told me she hadn't had a smoke in a couple of months, I laughed so hard I dropped the phone. The woman who lit them back to back wasn't smoking ? And she told me she opened her closet and her clothes stunk? That got my attention, heck I never even opened her closet, it did smell really really bad, I was a smoker and I even noticed it.
So, I started looking into the whole e-cig as she called it, and thought if she can do this so can I.
Now here I am . Very happy to be an ex smoker and proud to be a vaper!

I feel dumb, but here goes haha. 19, male, and been smoking cigarettes probably for about 2-3 years, cigars before that, and a little something something before that ;)

This New Years I decided to give up smoking. Made it two days straight before the nicotine cravings started. Bought a Blu disposable then found this site. Now I'm a soon to be owner of a 900mAh Volt X2 with clearomizer tip. So glad I found out about vaping as an alternative! It's so much cleaner and a ton more convenient so far. I'm just really looking forward to not having to use these Blu's anymore. The first one only lasted like two days, and a $11 a pop, it's more expensive than my smoking habit was, where I was using a pack every 2-3 days

63 and 50...
I remember a carton of smokes being less than $2...
I started when I was 16 and they were $4.50 for a pack of 25 (no such thing as 40 packs back then, they'd just started selling 10 packs for $2.60 which was nice and cheap as a teenager, easy to pay for even if you only had pocket money and no after school job like some of us (I was raised by my Grandparents who were old age pensioners so they couldn't afford anything for pocket money which made me value a job and money at a young age), so you can imagine who the tobacco companies were targeting lol.
