Didn't really smoke a lot before. Mostly just black and milds. Started blacks 4 years ago.

I'm 42 (TODAY!) and started smoking after I joined the Army in 1990. Retired now and going through almost 2 packs a day since I was 18. Looking forward to learning more and getting into vaping and out of cigarettes.

when this thread was first posted (I think it was this one. unless it was another of a similar title) I got in trouble, big trouble, for jokingly saying that I was 3 years old and I had been vaping for 3 years. I got a warning from a moderator for stating that I was too young to be on ecf forum according to the ECF terms of service rules & guidelines.

Well, I am truthfully in my 20s now. Though I first signed in to ecf with my 1st account (now lost & forgotten) at age 17, well over 5 years ago now. I am proud to say that I am a vaper & that I've been vaping for over 5 years with no problems. I just got a chest Xray and there was nothing to be concerned of Life has been great since I began vaping, & I plan to keep vaping into my retirement. Now if I could just get myself a job to retire from, that'd reallybe something...

Glad to see so many long term vapers posting with pride. Not only am I a vaper, but I am an ECF-aholic, and I always will be. Enjoy your vaping journeys everyone.

Started vaping, cut my smoke intake down instantly.
Finally went to zero smoke, all vape.
Hopefully will never smoke again.

I'm 24 years old, smoked for 3 years, and decided it was time to move on to something else before I was seriously hooked on cigs.

51 and never smoked cigs just 4-5 Cigars a week for the last 10 years or so (one or two a month before that)
decided to try vaping as the Cigars I smoke are over ten bucks each. Still enjoy one cigar a week but it definitely
saves me some bucks

36. Smoked cigarettes off and on for a couple years in my late teens & early twenties. Started a cigar habit in school -- needed something to get me out of the building on those long all-nighters. Never much liked the taste of tobacco, though a few pipe blends and cigars have impressed me over the years. No, what I really liked was playing with fire and blowing smoke around. Don't ask me why, but I loved it.

Well, playing with electricity is almost as fun as playing with fire, and I never got to make my own cigars or pipe blends, so this is basically just as good!

Just turned 40. My first ecig...red and shiny, (named Lola affectionately) was a birthday gift to myself after reading as much as I could. I smoked a pack a day since I was 16, so 24 years. As of 10:30 this morning I've been cigarette free for 48 hours and vape only!
