22 years old. Started smoking around the age of 15. Half a pack to a pack day smoker. Quit smoking and started vaping December in 2012!
Turning 50 soon -been smoking since I was 17 - smoking a pack a day since my early 20's--totally smoke free since May 9 2014... And counting...
34, started at 12, quit at 22 (03/06/02). Picked up vaping (100% VG, 0 nic) 3 weeks ago to help Wife kick the analog habit... She claims she "forgets" to use the PV she bought 2 months ago. I actually enjoy it quite a bit. She has cut back a lot, but still smokes about 10-15 per day (down from 25-30). I think keeping the social aspect of smoking there really helps her cut back. She goes outside to smoke and now we can stay inside or both go outside to vape.

41, smoked cigarettes for 25 solid years plus a few more while I was sneaking around doing it. Smoked my last one 86 days ago after a week of vaping. My husband (47) smoked about 30 years. He has been off of them 88 days. There is about 15 of us in our little circle of the world (all adults and long term smokers)that have moved to vaping. Only one still smokes analogs. And she is down to about 5 a day.
30 male, started smoking @ 15 ( .5 pack/day normally, was up to 2+ packs a day for a while when I was in iraq), got down to just smoking socially (if my friends were smoking I'd bum one off them, but outside of that I'd go days w/o smoking) about 4 years ago and finally stopped all together this month.
I'm 38 and I smoked for about 12 years. Started out as just a weekend thing. Then Fridays got added. Then Monday mornings I would say "I still have a few smokes left from yesterday, might as well..." Eventually I was up to about 5 packs a week before making the switch.

17, a year after most of my friends started. a close friend of mine passed away my senior year of HS and i caved.
quit at 23 because it bothered my future wife.
started again at 30 because she started talking marriage.
quit at 31 because she was pregnant with our daughter.
started again at 34 because she was pregnant with our son.
quit at 38 because i had a 10 day running fever and it was just too damn cold outside.
started again at 40 because superstorm Sandy wrecked our house.
quit, for the last time, about 3 months later, because my father had a Logic in his mouth while we repaired my house and i'll be damned if i let the old man have one over me!

I'm 26 and started smoking when i was 15. At first it was black and mild cigars doing smoke tricks and what not. Then one day we had none so my buddy grabbed a Marlboro Red ( yuck! ) and it was history from there. I quit about a month ago and i never felt better! VAPE ON!

Now that's damn funny. Don't know if you meant it to be, but seeing how you're from NY it makes sense to me.

I started smoking when I was 12 so 12 years because I haven't fully made the switch yet. But I must say, I do enjoy it.

21 here. Started when I was 19 after a bad breakup. Made the switch to vaping the beginning of this year. I'm glad I found vaping [somewhat] quickly!
I am 27, been smoking since 16. I enjoy vaping so much more than cigarettes, no bad smell and my lungs are feeling so much better. Benefit is my girlfriend is happy too.
