hi loft, looks nice :)

i made my first wick on my NGP 4: new to wicking (started one week ago with my Genisis LV), i failed several times, then decided to go for a "chaos-wicklung": wicked the canthal thightly maybe 11 or 12 times around the mesch, checked that there are no free distances glowing, tightened the whole thing - looked terrible but vapes like hell.

chaos wick on NGP 4: 0,2 canthal, mesh 400, started with 1.2 ohm !!!

the hole to fill in the tank is veeeery tiny. even with a syringe / needle, there's no air that can escape the tank during filling, so it' floods.

has anyone an idea to enlarge the fill hole a bit without putting dremel garbage inside the tank? a glowing nail maybe?

Sorry to hear that :(.

Maybe try contacting them and describing your issue? I am sure they can send you a replacement cap for that...

I sorta broke my NGP. Was expanding the diameter of the vapor chamber cap airflow hole... and my hand slipped. So, I have a much larger airflow hole. TONS of vapor but not enough flavor now lol...

I looked at this earlier but forgot to respond... but I feel a response is necessary. The wick looks fine, you could even trim it down another mm or so to ensure it doesn't touch the top cap or your drip tip. One thing I feel the need to address is your coil. It looks like it is overlapping or possible touching? But I would keep practicing. Also, don't choke the wick - if you can spin the wick with the coil around it and there are no gaps then that is the best. Here is a picture of my Katana (I don't want to take the top cap off my NGP as it gets a little messy) that I took a couple days ago...

This might help you with making your coil. :)

And for the fill hole - get a smaller syringe. I use 20ga to fill all my genesis atomizers.

thank you for your advices, nice pic :) (is there a silver file to connect the coil with the pole?)

i know the coil looks terrible, it's a so called "chaos coil": overlappings and crossings are part of a chaos coil. and even if the measurment of ohm was very poor in the beginning (1.2 ohm yesterday, today 1.8 ohm), it vapes on the niveau far above any eGo type... but sure can be modified ;) i am actually running a chaos coil on my GLV and it's a fantastic vape... :vapor:

Edith says: made a new coil, wick same as your's, no free wire bridges, 1.9 ohm, but nothing special to vape. then i used a needle: inserted it into the wick, down to the bottom and then turning it very carefully both clockwise and counterclockwise. after it measures 2.1 ohm, and now my hungarian espresso bomber vapes like my GLV :) great great great breakthrough, love it

actually i am waiting for 1,6 canthal to try a tandem coil... and yeah, sticking a tiny glass pearl on the upper end of the coil is something i wanny try too. with this pearl you can draw the canthal around the pole and the pearl keeps the wick away, see what i mean ?

thanks again, clouds on your body

so, after four days of everywhere use of my NGP 4, i can give a quick review: the mod simply works fine. it's really a light-weight, you can easily wear it in your pockets: no leaking. the Genezis Maxi does a great job, vapes like hell, nice taste and throat hit. good stuff. me likey.:p

Oh Charlie, looks.like I won't need to start a discussion thread. I kinda just found this...lol. thanks for all your help via email, I appreciate it.

Important note to all current and future NGP users:

The NGPs are built with a plastic rim in the top cap. You can use a small knife (dunno what they are called, but doctors use them for cutting into patients when operating on them) that you carefully twist around the circumference of the plastic to enlarge it to fit larger drip tips. I've done it with mine after the mod maker instructed me to do so, it's easy :).
