I was wondering why I wasn't getting the specials. Apparently, I hadn't subscribed. Fixed that now.

Unfortunately, I can't afford another Hybris right now, not even at that price.

I'm planning to scrounge up just a few dollars to order some Nr-R-NR wire from FT. I'll have to pay a dollar or so more to get shipping with tracking because I can't even afford the $20 to get it free.

I must have wire for my Lancia!

Are you still at the address on the envelope you sent me? I'll pop some in an envelope, throw a stamp on it, and send it in the mail Monday. They are all 2.4 Ω. I have wickless and with silica wick, 4 different ones, I'll send you a few of each if you would like. (well already packed, around 5 of each, just need verification of address).

Thank you!

I love vapemail!

No Problem, Glad to help a Friend.

On the Lancia, I pulled one coil, now have a single 2.4Ω coil, I like that better than the dual. The dual was just too much for me at the 1.2Ω. Down the road I might wind a couple with higher Ω's so I can get up over 2Ω's total, but really busy with work (working on paperwork today), so it will be a while on the recoiling.

Have been looking at the Billet Box Clone that came out a couple of months ago to put my Sophia in, but can't find it from China. Found a few US places I can get it for $60 to $80, but hoping someone in China will stock it and get the price down to around $40. I'm in no rush, so if you run across one let me know.:D

I hadn't even thought about that. With the Lancia, you can plug up the airflow from one of the coils and just use the other side alone. Sounds like a great idea. How is it working?

Maybe we could request that FT carry higher resistance pre-made wires. Like 3.2, 3.6, and 4.0 ohms. I've heard/read that theyre fairly responsive to requests.

Will do if you'll do the same. I would love to have one.

Well decided to not wait on a China Company stocking the Billet Box Clone, so I ordered it off Flea Bay, Only $58.85 and it says it will ship today and I will have it Tuesday 18th. If I like it, I might get another, if FT or FC at some point gets it in stock. My CC was starting to burn and needed use. :D

Says it is "BILLET BOX Rev 2.1 Clone - 1:1 Clone - Black/Grey", but I'll see when I get it.

Here is part of what it lists,
2.4 to 5.0V volt variable output
Max 20W

I expect a complete review once you've had a chance to try it for a while.

The one thing I like about the clone (besides the price) is that it goes down to lower voltage than the original. That would make it a lot more versatile, I would think.

Of course I will post pictures and my thoughts. :)

The voltage was a big selling point for me. The original Billet Box low end is 4v, way too high of a starting point, so I would never order one. I start at a low voltage and work up during the day, very rarely getting over 4v, so this should match my voltage range just fine.

I just hope the specs on the flea bay listing are correct. The video reviews I watched show 2 differences, voltage max of 4v and carto length of 34mm, the listing said 2.4v to 5.0v and a carto length of 35mm, which I hope is correct. Will find out next week. :D

Well Hybris #3 is going into use, the DW said she has set a Quit Date. :rickroll::rickroll::rickroll:

So I loaded it with 36mg/ml DIY NET tobacco w/Aroma WTA in it at 10%, been steeping for months waiting on her to decide to quit. Also took out the included battery and gave her a pack of 4 IMR batteries. Still have to take her through the workings of it, but it is a start.:banana::banana:

On another note, the Billet Box Clone should be here tomorrow, got a notification it left Tampa this morning heading to my post office, which normally means I get it the next day. Got 2 sets of batteries all charged and ready to go. :w00t:

I Love Vape Mail

Well, Crap
I did get the Billet Box today, but the old 16340 ultrafire batteries I had were too long. :(
So I went to RTD Vapor and ordered 4 AW icr 123 16340 protected battery's, I saw on the BB thread they were recommended for the OG. With shipping was $33.21, Ouch, but I figured if I am going to run them in series I should go with what should be the best and not cut corners. Now to wait for Vape Mail again before I can play with my new toy.

Aw, man! So close and yet so far! Those better be some really good batteries for that price.
That's what I was thinking on the price. I wanted to just try it first with some OLD batteries I got in 2009 to make a mod, but never did. Figured I had these 4 batteries, would let me try it at least and check voltage output and such, but way too long to fit.

So, what is the DW's quit date. Let us know how it's going. 36mg with WTA should definitely do it! What topper are you giving her?
Didn't ask, that to her would be pushing. The juice is well steeped also as I mixed it months ago, waiting for this day. She was telling me she wanted one like a friend that just quit had, he just has a Vision II with a kangertech mini protank, so I pulled #3 off the shelf, loaded it, and she said that would work. Only thing I changed is I gave her a 4 pack of IMR batteries, otherwise it is just a stock Hybris. Once she gets started then I can look at other stuff for her, I have just a little bit laying around. :D

Got my AW icr 123 16340 protected battery's in today for the Billet Box Clone, dam if it ain't bad.
Put the adapter on to put my Lancia on it, soon as I screwed it on it started firing. Took the adapter out and checked it with a DVM and it has volts on the connector all the time. I emailed the supplier about it, but this really sucks.

I emailed the supplier about it

This was my Reply from the supplier:

"We have not had this happen before. The wiring is most likely making contact in the button when it should not be. If you know electronics you may be able to diagnose the problem and fix it. Continue to play around with the item and if you still have problems please message us and we will resolve the issue for you."

So that was a go ahead to take it apart. Did not SEE anything, but I could only tear it down so far, but something must have been pressing the switch, internally, a wire or something, because when I put it back together, it worked. No Idea what was wrong, but it is working now. I pulled a carto out of another tank that was primed, filled the Billet Box tank, and am vaping away.
