The consensus seems to be that it's measuring voltage differently. Kind of like the Vamo has/had 'mean' and 'avg', I think? Anyway, one of the settings produced the voltage in such a way that it burned way too hot. So, everyone uses the other setting.

So, they didn't lie, per se. Not exactly/technically. But, technically telling the truth only goes so far. It might keep you out of trouble with the law. But, it won't keep people from feeling betrayed/lied to.

They had to know better unless they don't know anything about vaping. Which maybe they don't.

The majority of people seem happy with it anyway. But, all the 'low wattage vapers' are very disappointed.

I was thinking about one, as I have over $8 Ebay bucks to spend, but I guess I'll pass on this one, as I am mostly a low power vaper due to COPD from smoking. I just can't handle the really high power I see some using. Wish I could find another that takes 14500 batteries that is VV, just none out there but the Hybris and Robust. I found a couple that are changeable, 3 different preset voltages, but not another True VV device. Guess I'll have to use the Ebay bucks on something else. :D

It seems to be the trend with wattage only devices. The lowest most of them go is about 4 volts.

I'm going to use my iStick on the old 510 SR cartos that I got a few years ago. I never used them because they were too high resistance for my plain eGo or 510 batts. And, I never got around to pulling them out to use them once I got VV.

Who knows? If they're really good that way, I might even buy more. An iStick with just a little 510 carto would make a very discreet vape.

And, why would you need another 14500 VV device? Just buy a few spare Hybris and put different wraps on them!

No, I understand. And, I agree.

That's a good idea. :) I have some also I got in lot buys on the classies, got over 40 on quick count. Figured I would use them when I got low on the LR ones, or just put them back up in the classies. My sweet spot seems to be 2.2Ω carto's.

I already have 4 Hybris:facepalm: Really, how many do I need:facepalm:
I do need to replace the + insulator in #2 again.

I was just looking for something to use the $8+ Ebay bucks. Looked for 30 min and just didn't see anything I wanted. I'll look some more another day, I have all month to use it.

Well I got that insulator replaced this morning. :)
Looked through some old top coil heads and found one almost like the OG. Was a PITA to get it in, took about 15 minutes, but it was a good fit and I didn't mess it up this time. Should be good to go now with #2 Hybris.

Priming a SR carto to try on it now, tested at 2.7Ω. Not really used the SR cartos, but I have a bunch, so I guess I need to try them.

I need to stay out of the classies
Ordered 2 lots of IBTanked tanks, one 15mm (2 tanks) and one 19mm (3 tanks). Both lots come with both standard and XL tubes (and a halfling tube for the 19mm). Priced out I got it for about 1/2 the price of new, and I like IBT Tanks.

So how is that little iStick treating you today DH?? Mine's out for delivery. I should have it this afternoon sometime. I guess it's time to get the high resistance heads out. I'll probably try the heads I got with the Hybris on it first. They're 2.4 and from what I remember, I'd have to turn up the voltage up on them to get the sweet spot.

Hi Burnie. Are you wearing that lanyard yet?? I've been going round in circles with Aquavapor over the new Hybris. I told them that I received one with a tilted cockeyed screen that drives me nuts, especially outside. It functions perfectly, but I am a stickler for having everything straight as an arrow. If I see a picture or something on the wall and it's not level, I have to fix it.. They want me to send it back, then they'll figure out if they are going to send a new one and I don't want to do that. I'm getting kind of tired of the waiting game. So, I should have another reply to my last comment on Monday.
This doesn't look all that bad in this pic, but when outside, with my eyesight, it tends to be awkward to read sometimes on top of my OCD.

Hope it works for ya, the more I read about it, the more I don't want one (until V2 and it is fixed and does the lower volts like it should).

Does look a little crooked, but if it worked fine, I would just chalk it up to Made in China and press on, but I don't have OCD about the little things. My #1 looks like it is just a little off like yours, but something I never noticed until I just looked, and #2 it looks a little high in the window, but level. Like I said I never noticed until you mentioned yours. They work good and that is what matters to me.

Well done. Another Hybris saved! :toast:

Waste not want not. The savings could help buy something shiny!

Ooooh, nice! That's where I got my IBTanked tank, on the classies. Me want more!

It's working great. Only issue is trying to get my adapter from VapeNW. When I informed them that it was missing, they said:
It may have been a express kit which they do not have the ego in them. I do have some ego adapters in my store that I can send you if you pay for shipping. $1.93

It MAY have been? Don't they keep any records. I responded that it did include the adapter, etc. Very short and polite. Today I got mad at not hearing back from them and sent them a slightly less polite and not so short response. Not quite rude yet. But, I won't go that far. If they don't fulfill their commitment, I'll simply give bad feedback.

I don't see why they wouldn't replace it. Let us know what happens.

It definitely vapes a little warm. But, it's working great, on SOME things. But, it's well worth it. And, it's so much fun!

I doubt I'll buy another, not until they have a version 2.

I'm still waiting patiently to stalk the mailman. I will just snap if they didn't put the ego adapter in. I can see what you mean about that. I finally saw a photo of it and it is very nice. I do have a couple standard ones that I can use, but if this one doesn't come, we're going to have to team up on them to send us one!!
I'm not sure if I can live with that shoddy screen, but I will see what this girl has to say. She seemed very cold on the phone the other day. I don't really want to play that back and forth game with them because it's more time and money for shipping and it all adds up. They should just send a new one and trust me to send the other back. I sent that picture and the reply was to send it back and they would FIGURE out if it should be replaced. I should maybe talk with the girl from jwraps and see if she could help me, because she knows and deals with the owner. She's the one that originally told me about, and sold me the Hybris last January.

It's Awesome!! :) I love the screen. My first mod to read everything in one place. Very Cool!! And you were so correct DH. It was freezing cold when I took it out of the box! We're having our first cold spell today. It's only like 44 and sun, but it was actually hailing a couple of hours ago. I did get the adapter. I will still team up with you. I can give them negative feedback for you if they don't send you one free of charge!!! I just hope they will pull through for you.

They should send you a new one and throw in an envelope with return postage already on it for you to send back yours. That way they can make sure you're more likely to send it back (with most of the trouble and expense already taken out of it).

Congrats! Very nice!

How is the adapter to use? I wanted one because of the knurled ring at the bottom. I figured that would make it easier to get on and off. The regular adapters I have are really hard to get off the eGo connection up inside my toppers. You just about need pliers sometimes.

Had that problem when I was using them on my Robust's, most of the time the adapter stayed in the topper and it took a pair of needle nose pliers to get it out, a real pain.

Burnie, I found something for you. Vape-Only V-Power 14500 VV Mod.

It's a VV 14500 mod that's on clearance for only $19.00. Interesting?

BTW, VapeNW did finally respond. They've sent my adapter. It's on the way. Of course, they were kind of short and non-apologetic about it.

Not planning on ever purchasing from them again. Unless they surprise me somehow. Maybe I'll find an extra adapter in the package? Or, maybe there will be a nice apology in the package?

Based on their behavior so far, I doubt it. Their rudeness will be what I remember most about them.

I have seen those before. I didn't get one because they are the size of an 18650 mod, 22.5mm diameter. If I am going to have something that big, I would like a 18xxx battery in it. I like the 14500 mods due to the smaller size.
Thanks for thinking about me. :)

Glad your adapter is on the way. Some business do not understand that if they treat customers wrong, they loose business not only from that customer, but everyone they tell.

2.8 Ω carto only lasted 2 days before taste went off, little burnt, normally get 3 to 5 days on the LR cartos. I'll prime up another tomorrow and see how it goes.

Are these the cartos you received the other day? I use to have problems with those and I found out later that I was just up too high on the voltage. Mainly with the ego batteries because I would always order 1.5 ohm, I don't think the 2.8 should've started to burn that quick. Maybe just a dud. I've had my share of those.

I think that also. I have had some in the past be bad after 1 day, then others last a week.
