It seems to me that you've already done your research and answered the majority of your questions within your own questions. If you're on the fence about whether not this is for you personally. The only suggestions I have is to try it and see if its for you. As the old saying goes: Don't knock it till you've tried it.

To answer some of your questions. Of course they are the real deal. They work and many are satisfied while some are frustrated. Most will tell you the positives of giving up analogs far outweigh the negatives in component quality.

There are numerous improvements to be made and there are many innovations in the works. A lot of them are being tested on this forum. Others are being worked behind closed doors.

Is it ready for prime time? That depends on a lot of things that don't even include the device itself. I think the better question might be is prime time ready for the ecig?

Well they certainly do have their quirks but for most, it seems to beat the alternative. I had to chuckle when someone once said that as new technology springs forth, the devices we use now will probably be antiques some day and we'll wonder how we ever vaped them. We are like the forefathers of vaping.....lol

More adequate designs are certainly down the road.....but these things take time. It's like technology in the works. I'm just one happy camper that I found them when I did....regardless of the quirks.

I absolutely LOVE my Lightvaper!!! (Mine is the silver one on the front page of his site)

I've had it for 4 days now and it's a true vaper machine! He charged the batteries before sending it and I got a full 9-10 hours out of each battery! I know he could EASILY charge double for such great craftmanship.

I also know this won't be for everyone, but it is EXACTLY what I wanted for my vaping bliss.

Secondson2929 (Ted) is a genius and a very nice guy to deal with.

OK, this one must be for either:

a. hardcore nicotine junkies, or
b. those who are lucky to have a local gym equipped with mouth exercise equipment :D

No, serious. I joined this site very enthusiastic about ecigs, but after reading hundreds of posts, reviews and comments, I am more skeptical than ever.

1. Many heavy smokers claim that they were able to switch to ecigs (only) after some 20-30 years of smoking

2. Many reviews point to the very shoddy technology, poor battery life, poor parts and maintenance hassle (ordering parts, juice)

3. Several, who seem to be in minority, claim that ecigs are not ready for prime time, and that vapping is NOT an adequate substitute for the real deal. Yes, they may be in minority, but judging from many other issues in the society, minority sometimes seem to be right on the money, as opposed to the prevailing opinions of the vocal majority.

So, are ecigs a real deal, or there has to be some major breakthrough in the technology itself that would provide a fill'n'go type of device, without the hassle of constantly having to order atzz, batteries, and other stuff that lasts for a pathetically short period of time? The mod discussed in this post, no matter how great it might be for the hardcore vappers, just seems to prove my point.

I woke up in a combative mood

You have to want to stop analogs, first and foremost!!! If there are any kinds of alternatives out in the market, why wouldn't WE ( the ones that want and or need to stop) jump all over it with joy and glee, LIKE ME,
,GLEE. Unless I am reading your post incorrectly???
Candidly, I am not sure what your point was, This thread, was started, By me,( my first start of a thread) to introduce a great new MOD,
so I do not know why you posted here.
but by doing so, you have allowed me to bring the thread back up to the front of the line

The mod or any mod, is for the ubber vapor, seeking something more, sometimes better, I love my ecigs and the whole e/ world, it has allowed me to get off of analogs, forever, so I guess anyone knocking my e/world just makes me combative, try it , you may understand

not a lot of newbies venture into the modders forum Cosican
which is both good and bad , some weird stuff goes on in there already
a lot of things in there dont really look like ecigs at all :D

Hey BB689 S Austrilia cool how are you!!!
I am dying to know how the ecig world is doing down by you??

Yeah I think we get a variety of viewer that just seek info and then we get commenters that are not really sure what to think of all of this

All I know, that from this point forward I am nothing but a MOD collector
I have been down the road of owning all the traditional stuff, now I need to venture into the UNKNOWN I only wish I had the talent and ability to make my own MODS

but I dont

see ya

Some questions:

1) Focusing on his 6 volt devices for now...how long does the atomizer last at such high voltage? How is the taste...does it burn the liquid at 6volts? Do you have to dripp every other hit?

3) Does he make 801 with such high voltage?... How do they perform? With the 801 short or long can you effectively use the carts or does it dry out so fast that you have to top off every minute.

4) out of the devices he made for you guys which ones do you like most? and why? Do you recommend the 3.7 volt or 6 volt devices?

My issues with ecigs are constantly having to top off/drip. Would this type off devices address that issue? The reason I never bought a SD is because I don't have battery issues....I don't mind having two chargers and going through 4-6 batteries a day.

I just ordered my first 801 short (I gave the little nicked green one he had on his site a home) from Ted last night, so I haven't gotten it yet. I've also put in a custom order for an 801 long. I cannot, yet, comment on the product but I have high hopes. I can, however, comment on the man. This guy is great. He's prompt and patient with replies to a guy that's never used anything but 801s and 901s in the past. He's answered all my questions quickly and openly and is sending my first one out priority mail tomorrow. If the product is even half what I think it will be based on reviews thus far, I'll be a very happy camper. I just hope the guy doesn't get overwhelmed with the rush I'm sure will hit him soon!

I agree Lu ;)

I think a lot of people who are just jumping into this expect a lot more than what they're getting. Look at the rest of the electronic world and technology moves relatively fast. In our little world we're just learning how to harness the fog, lol.

Cheers Mate! :)

Does anyone know, btw, if these are okay for dripping?

Hi you MUST DRIP w/ these mods, they are much stronger in battery power than the average bear, so dripping is mandatory, And candidly, kinda often, if that is a downside for anyone, then maybe you should reconsider
Dripping is the key to a successful vape experience, with I think most ecigs, but especially with mods like this
My SD needs dripping, as does my 501 manual
I actually drip everythiing, ALOT
The SS2929 mods are needing juice to stay healthy, but that is ME

Hello everybody

I’m Aline, i’m a french girl. (sorry for my poor english). I use ecigarette since 3 months. But now i want to find the best ecig to use and totally stop real cig.

I have a 2 questions if you can help me :

1) What model is the Vapor King. Is it a similar ecigarette to the Loongtotem V9 ? What are the difference ? Do the batterie are better ?

2) Specialy for Rejoice. I am interested in buying a ecig mod. Why do you prefer the GG to the Screwdriver. What are the avantage of each mods.

Thank in advance for you answer.
Best regards to everybody on this nice forum.

I just put my order in. The coolest thing is...I got to pick the color of my handle and LED. And it's designed so you can have no LED on the other end? Now how cool is that? And I love anything with batteries and a penstyle atomizer....and the manual switch is positioned so I can use my thumb. How much more could I ask for?

I ordered extra batteries and a charger....and all for $90! Can't beat that deal. And he's in the US....so if anything does go wrong...turnaround time would be a breeze.

I find the site somewhat confusing... I only see the 901 short available for sale in black with yellow or green LED. Did you place a custom order by e-mail?

My reason for liking the GG more than the screwdriver. I like the feel of the GG in my hands better. I like the switch position of the GG better than than the screwdriver. I like the vapor prodution with GG better than screwdriver. I like the style better of GG. I can fix the GG. I am not putting down the screwdriver it is a great e-cig. Just for me the GG is better. Hope this helps.:)

When it comes down to it, all these magnum/SD/LV-type mods are exactly the same thing - bigger batteries with a manual switch.

A good working atomizer is what really counts, and if most all of them use a 901 atty, I don't see how one mod is inherently any better than the rest (design, looks, and ergonomics aside).

Perhaps I should get into the mod making game - seems pretty lucrative.

YOU ARE RIGHT SIR!!
If you could get into the MOD business you should I wish I had the ability to do what Trog and Youfillintheblank and Secondson2929 have, BUT I DON'T, so I buy the MODS from MOD makers

They all use the 901 atomizer for a reason, One day, I too, will be doing this MOD thing, I will buy all the MODS I can and I will learn from them, then maybe, just maybe I can be creative and smart enough to build one!!
until then I buy MODS

If you start building your own mod, please let me know and I will buy on from you as well

good luck, hope to hear from you soon

RJ so you think the GG is a winner??/ HUh!! If that is the case, I guess I am on my way to buying a GG/ One day this will stop, then again maybe not!

Please advise where to purchase, each time I go to the suppliers site to the GG, it takes me elsewhere!!

You are right! Bigger batteries means more power and longer charge time....which beats out the normal ecig batts and is good to be able to get your hands on those batts should there ever be a ban and spares are hard to get a hold of.

As far as the manual switch....that's one of my faves too. And since there's not a lot of devices with manual switches right now (except for Janty)....mods with those switches are appealing.

And as far as atomizers....yep, they are disposable...at this point anyway. Maybe someday they will be "new and improved" and last for months...or more! But right now, all the models using them will do so with the same results. For me, though, I prefer the penstyle (not 901)mods....that is why I chose this particular style.

So if the mod uses strong batts, has a manual switch, and a penstyle atomizer....I will try it...but I will pretty much go for the cheaper one because as you point out, they've got to pretty much be the same.

So hey, come up with a mod like that for a decent price, and you will most likely make some money. Let us know!
