Sometimes it's just the keywords, but yes search engines have come an awful long way in 20 years. I can still only find information about the 17th century frenchman called Cadillac though. I presume there is a Louisiana one? If it's not on the first page I change or re-order my search terms. Google seems to give more priority to the first search terms.

I'm constantly amazed at the fuzzy logic used by Google and how well it works. It will find related terms, and in most cases will still work even if you make a typo and spell it wrong.

Same Cadillac :) He had a part to play down here too in the early days.

So you're saying that if you weren't almost unconscious from being overwhelmed by paint fumes and stressed-out from having to buy another a letter box and depressed by not having a fish tank is your garden, you would have identified the Cadillac dude before me? Yeah, right. Throw another carto on the barbie mate!

Bad's buddy kiwi. She's a VW fanatic and used to follow him from thread to thread every time he mentioned ProThingy - in fact, I think she was one reason I started using that term. I wonder what the odds are we'll soon get a visit? Using "Kiwi" as a search word can't possibly yield that many threads.

Well I figured there was some history. Kiwi was stirring up a hornets nest, although I have to admit the essence of her argument was sound. So I played along. About the time the thread moved from bitter recriminations to a constructive angle BAM! it got shut down. I can see why she rubs some folks the wrong way. I had no idea Kiwi was female, but I guess it makes sense in retrospect.

Anyway, another interesting thread bites the dust, just as I got involved. I may need to revive the "Thread Killa" rap....

Probably.

Yeah, right. Throw another carto on the barbie mate!

Mmmm. Fish for dinner I think. The BBQ is currently 1000km away, unfortunately.

We used to have a commercial here for a restaurant called "Australian Outback," where this Crocodile Dundee clone would say "Throw another shrimp on the barbie." Then when Australia lost the America's Cup in the 1980s "Throw another yacht on the barbie" was a catch phrase for while.

(Obscure context added)

ferrel: no need to be a stranger. keep in touch.
I've missed everyone's shenanigans because I've been run off my feet. I've only managed a quick peek on the cigarette newbie and the music game forums because of the gala stuff (photos to follow) also I've been through some hideous tests for a new job that have taken up my free time i would have normally spent here. Also I've been doing super early shifts for the last week and have not slept much in the last week. But all of that is behind me now. Only 16 more sleeps to my holiday to the states (YAY).
Here's a few pics of the Gala that took up so much of my time. my daughter was a lady-in-waiting.I didn't even win the best dressed house, although everyone agreed that i should have. A gala committee members family member won it.There you go BB that's your community spirit for right in a nutshell *sarcasm*. Funny thing was the winning house was called Viva Las Vegas. You couldn't make it up Becky.seriously.

I love the gossip here lol..
That green fruit with the black seeds? I'm not a fan of it/her.

I am not sure about that one just yet. She is smart. Her abrasive ways may be her downfall, but for now, I withhold judgement. She was technically correct on several points in the now-defunct thread. Having an enemy in Baditude is not a good thing. I did not know he had any.

Speaking of defunct, my brain is now in the red zone. My wit is quite dull this time of day, when I have little caffeine, little nicotine, and I am tired. I am only good at showering and sleeping this time of day. Since I rise at 4:45am, I must fall earlier tonight.

This is the Lion, signing off.

Had a little problem with my vision spinners BTW.thought i could change the battery. took one to bits after it stopped accepting a charge.no problem here thinks i. just a little soldering job. so i goes out and buys a couple of batteries to do the job.not 1300mah but 1100mah (it's better than nothing huh)a little soldering kit and I'm good to go.I've already taken the threaded section off exposing the circuit board and one of the wires has come away(the black one). I know thinks i. I'll just pull the other one's threaded section off to see where that wire comes from. so i pulls the other threaded section off my still working spinner (but dieing anyway). So i gets the section off ever so gently so as not to pull any wires away and both the black and the red wires have come off  So now i have my two spinners in bits with wires hanging everywhere and no back-up.
Let's put it this way.
I was always going to buy a Vamo eventually.
I've been without my vape for 2 days now and i'm down to my knuckles.
Vamo ordered on Friday from eBay and should be here tomorrow hopefully.
If not.............well let's put it this way. I'll be putting my signature strip at the bottom back to nought. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR

Not "like," but a kindred Oh No! I have a tendency to take things apart - partially due to uncontrollable curiosity, but also, I can't break it worse, right? That often leaves me with all sorts of little metal whatnots unidentifiable away from their original context.

You have a lovely daughter ;)

You should be able to jury rig something even if you can't figure how the spinner goes back together.

One wire from the center pole on the 510 to the +ive battery post. One wire from the outer connector of the 510 to the -ive battery terminal. I presume you got the solder tab type batteries. Screw device onto the 510 thread and when you hear it hiss take a suck. Unscrew to turn it off. I don't think I would have gone two hours before trying this, let alone two days.

I believe it should be OK to charge the battery this way, with a charger designed for any ego battery.

Golden rule: backups for your backups. I have three complete systems here, not including 2 mechanicals, and I usually walk out the door with two devices.
