Hmmmm interesting maybe that is the problem I have been having lately. I have just been sticking with one and something that tastes good at the beginning is blech and gross in a couple hours. Just a really weird flavor. I cleaned and changed my heads out but that did not help the issue. Perhaps I need to fill a couple tanks and switch around.

Yes, that's normal in my experience. Light Horse is the absolute only thing that I can vape all day and still enjoy, and even that is pushing it by about day 3 or 4. After that, it just goes downhill from there. It can take days to recover from a bad vape day.

I find a coffee vape very good for resetting the pallet, and I think the Lucky Strike liquid is working so well for me because it's so different - I never thought I would like a vape with a bit of absinthe in it but it makes for a nice change for an hour or two. Seems we should never discount any flavour until we've played with it for bit.

I think what happens with "vape tongue" is that the taste buds just get overloaded and can't work with those particular flavours any more. It makes your normal liquid taste really weird - like you can only taste everything that's bad about it. It put me off tobacco vapes for nearly a month, and I'm still not game to try some of those old flavours. Maybe I should just try them - it will be interesting, though scary.

Switch the flavours around and give it a day or two. I've learned the hard way, as soon as something doesn't taste quite right, switch it out.

ok see the bottom part with the ridges. It is literally the top edge of that colored part that is sharp. Mine has the bevel but the very top edge is straight across and sharp. It is rubbing my hand raw. :(

Extend it out full length so that you don't have that tiny bit of inner tube to use as an anchor for button pressing and your thumb lands right on the sharp top edge of the colored part.

Oh, sorry. You're talking to a welder here... hands like asbestos gloves. I was cooking dinner the other night and fished a corn kernel out of the boiling water to see if it was done enough. I used my fingers. Yep, welders are a strange breed.

The 'O' ring sounds like a great idea and should work. After using it with the 'O' ring for a few months there's actually good chance that you will no longer need it as the skin on our hands and fingers gets tougher where we need it to. I remember when I first started in my trade - my hands and fingers were always covered in band-aids. Things that used to draw blood now barely leave a scratch.

Peekebe.. I typically stick with one juice.. i am so picky though. There's at least 15 different flavors here and the man rotates about 3 a day.. i will try another and i have to vape it for a day to get used to it..
i am vaping butter pecan now.. i didn't like it at first but it slowly grew on me and now i love it.

I napped for too long and woke up beachy.. blah..

I would be afraid the glue would muck up the finish. I am going to try winding a rubber band around it to even out the transition. The hubby said a little bit ago when I showed him that if the rubberband works to take it to the hardware store and find an oring I can stick in that transition that is loose enough to be easily removed when I want to go to shorty mode.

You can use low tack, like painting tape, or cut a strip of adhesive shelf paper. Granted, the finish probably isn't as durable, but I use high tack tape on the ProThingy all the time. If some adhesive remains on the tube when you remove it, the heat and oils of your hands will get it off.

Congrats on the 4 months Myrany, and I don't think you are nuts, I was impressed with the amount of different juices and the new stuff you were ordering. For only being 4 months you have amassed a great deal of expertise, some vape for years without trying rebuildables and/or DIY juices.

I wasn't aware that new regulations were coming out in Oct, maybe another order of nic would be a good thing.

Truth be told the day I found ECF is the day I read about the pending FDA of doom. I decided right then that I would find a way to make my vaping sustainable if the worst happened. EVERYTHING since then has been preparing for that and homework. DIY and rebuildables were the obvious choices.

I will not let stupid government people and ANTZ take away the one thing that has let me quit smoking.

I have a DIY question for ya Myrany.. say you're making a pie flavor.. do you mix all flavors at once and then let them steep? Or do you steep the flavors (like the crust as opposed to a fruit) and then mix?

I mix up the juice complete then steep it. I want the flavor to blend. Of course it is all personal preference. The banana cream pie recipe I listed earlier in this thread is a good example. Fresh made the banana is STRONG almost bitey. At 2 weeks the whole thing is a smooth deliciousness with just a hint of the graham cracker as crust.

 I was a cook for many, many years. I don't know how many times I would grab bacon off of the grill with my fingers without thinking about it. It would freak the waitresses out.

I once saw a chef dip some molten sugar out of the pan it was being heated in to demonstrate soft ball/hard ball... also with his fingers. It's the only profession I know of that possibly has a higher heat tolerance than welding.

YooHooo! Four Months!

Only just past that mark myself. If your experience is anything like mine you've weathered everything that tobacco could throw at you and have the scars to prove it, but are now in a good place.

We still get a curve ball every now and then. I threatened to start smoking again on the weekend when Mrs F demanded that I leave my PV at home. It was quite a barny which ended with me telling her she was not being supportive. The PV came with me but it seems she is embarrassed by my vaping because it *looks* like smoking. Ah well. (...and no, I won't start smoking again just because of that).
