Indeed. I am proud of my status as a member of the Grammar Police.

Please use a different image. If you don't like this one I will find you another.

Good morning CatChi Ranters!

Kudos to Myrany for her je ne sais quoi. Same newbie, same thread, posting the same informations (albeit in different ways), yet he could understand her and not me. I always think visual aids are helpful to people, but apparently not all people. I'm sure I came across a bit blunt too when I exasperatedly posted, "Turn it down."

Atty Pops should have been there. This would have been the perfect thread to demonstrate his theory of Talking Up to people.

I must meditate on our differing approaches and how I failed to communicate - although I suspect the reason is cuz he liked her better than me. :)

I think some people find it disturbing when they see cat's eye peering through the long grass...

Seriously, is this the Vamo V3 thread? The OP has no idea about ohm's law, doesn't want to know about ohm's law and is looking at the whole thing the wrong way around. All the diagrams in the world won't help if the mind is closed. There's also people who are not good visual learners, they learn by doing, or by rote, or by association. I think the OP is different, and that's pretty hard for us visual learners to understand sometimes. eg. Mrs F can learn a phone number if you tell it to her once. I have to see it written down or it's gone in 3 seconds. If you give me your phone number I'd better write it down.

VW is actually perfect for them, but they're so hung up on setting the voltage they can't see it. If it hadn't already been done to death I'd be half tempted to jump in. I'm tempted to have another go at it in any case.

But....the one I have posted only has a G, I mean it isn't even a real Swastika....

You really want me to take it down? I will if you ask me to.

Give it another 5 decades or so and perhaps anything even resembling that red white and black symbol will have lost some of its power to instill loathing and horror. Of course at that point it will be so irrelevant as to have lost it's humour value as well.

It's a funny once situation - and that's from shock value. ;-)

Perhaps he will get a Gripper at Myrany suggestion. Notice how he didn't even acknowledge the link I posted for the Zmax and asked a second time for an 18650/18350 mod with one button you fire with your thumb? Shrug.

Hi Schnarph :) it's not necessarily one particular device that's prone to leak in hot wea..(tho the leaking in hot weather seems to plague bottom coils more.. see here
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../429893-vaping-during-summer-hot-weather.html
Thank you, I assumed it was a bottom coil device. I have that problem with all BCC's unless it's cold outside.
My air conditioner in my car is broken (sobs) and they want A LOT of $$$ to fix it. I don't want to put in on credit, so I am "dealing" with it for now.

Evods and ce4s. You don't want to use them, anyway! Although I do like them better than Novas. My carto-tank journey is going to have to get started again, soon.

I have also noticed that I have to turn the wattage down in the heat. The vapor changes, too. Strange.
My Evod's are the leakiest devices that I have. I only bought them to take with me in the car, that plan backfired.
my protank might as well have been a funnel...(THAT was) the last time i used it LOL

i think it has to do with the liquid and the device (but the protank is still in storage until at least october.....maybe forever) LOL

my evod and ce3 didn't leak or flood the last day i used the protank but....the liquid in them has a totally different consistency at room temp than the liquid that was in the protank.....the protank was loaded with a really really really thin at room temp liquid

now i am trying to remember if it was the same vendor or pg/vg ratio that i was using when i was having trouble with those two carto tanks flooding/leaking.....I know for sure it was the same vendor in one of them....

*i don't know why but all of a sudden it sounds/feels/seems weird for me to call it juice.....
My 3 Protanks, 2 Evods, and a mess of replacement heads are all going to be given away pretty soon. They don't leak very much but it is consistent. I might keep one for the winter, but that only lasts 2 months here in Texas. It's a shame, I'm pretty good at rebuilding BCC heads.

I vape 100% VG e-liquid. I can only imagine how much worse it would be if the liquid was any thinner. I've had to switch back to cartotanks for vaping on the go. I'm sticking with rebuildables at home, I prefer them but they don't travel well.

I wouldn't take it personally. They may have just seen a large amount of visual information and been turned away by it. They are in information overload so zeroed in on Myrany's posts as being something they could understand. It's an unconscious survival technique - ignore that which seems incomprehensible and deal with something that can be understood in small pieces. The trap is that once you press the 'ignore' button you might miss something that later becomes vitally important (or as this case, actually answers a different question perfectly well).

Ocelot and Myrany, you two have a great deal of patience and I give up both a big :thumb: for trying so hard to explain the functions of the Vamo and the difference between using VV and VW.

This poor guy just didn't seem to understand you only use one of the adjustment choices at a time. I really hope he finds his sweet spot, I guess some people shouldn't move beyond regulated egos.

I was kidding :) I very rarely take anything seriously online. He was just a silly person, I hope he find a device that works for him.

ETA: You think he put me on ignore? How exciting! I feel like a trouble-maker! :D

Addendum: I would like to meet the individual responsible for the phrase "forever home" in regards to animal adoption. That person deserves a lecture stern, a possibly and slap face.

You'll have to explain your angst in this case; I suspect there's a sad story behind it however. The concept is more about committing to the guardianship of one of our furry family members for the rest of their life than it is about any one particular place or location.

He'll have an Ah Ha! moment at some point. Just like Helen Keller in the Miracle Worker Water, water, water!

I can't see anything wrong with the term "permanent home". One cannot give an animal a "forever home" unless it's with a capital "F" indicating a brand of dog house. Poor grammar becomes insulting to me when it is repeated daily over years. Maybe a test group liked the term better or it was one individual's decision. Advertising and marketing decisions baffle me most of the time.

BTW, I have always had a pet and they have all been adopted from shelters. Each has received a happy home, forever.

Let us hope for his sake he does, hate to see someone struggle and maybe give up on vaping. I know you try to help others out when possible, which is a great thing. Too many people on this thread are willing to help to name them, and I would inadvertently forget someone.

I'm sure he'll be fine in the end. I think that thread illustrates the information overload we were discussing several pages back.

In other news...

I think one of my snarky comments got reported.
1) I made a snarky comment
2) OP makes a little dig at me
3) I said I was sorry
4) The next post was by a mod. No reprimand or anything, but I have sneaky feeling that was the only reason for the mod to be there.

No, I didn't mean actually put you on ignore, I mean the kind of ignore blokes do when there's an unpleasant chore to do. Amazing how fast it becomes invisible :D

He probably didn't even realise what he was doing - (Mrs F would agree wholeheartedly, I think)

There you go, you did the same thing :)

It's the same sentiment, just expressed a little differently. "Permanent Home" sounds a bit clinical. "Forever Home" is a little esoteric and the grammar is questionable, but expresses the emotion much better. Those of us who use it are emotional sops when it comes to our pets, I'll admit. Hang the grammar in this case, go with the love it implies.
