Why do new members buy kits, and then start a thread asking if they got a good one? And, of course, they don't have the money to buy something else.

Well when I started I was pointed to a kit by people in another forum. Bought it and then before it arrived discovered ECF and read about all kinds of other things out there. So I asked if what I got was ok. Turns out it wasn't bad. 2 ego -c batterys + charger + the ego-c tank system. The tank system kinda sucked but the ego-C batterys are still going strong I just needed a better delivery device. That I COULD afford to upgrade.

A new meme is racing through the New Members forum. I swear the first time I read any posts about it, outside of APV sub-forums, was in General Discussion on 8/13. Maybe it started being posted before that, but the way I get around, the odds aren't great it was posted outside of a thread that went technical. But now...but now...

It's a meme! Now if a New Member posts a question about how volts/ohms/watts work, there will be at least one member paraphrasing the post linked to below! Of course they rarely post the link, because they don't know where the original info came from!!!

I need more synonyms for nimrod...I just noticed the link was posted by the same person who tried to bully Katya and I the other night about batteries. Actually, I just now skimmed the thread and realize it was me he was after. Lol! I didn't catch that.

I am paying attention

Huh? What?

Three times now I have tried to post highlights of that thread, but there are too many. But this one put him on my pompous list. He claimed unregulated batteries produced a "rock solid" vape. I thought he might have mistyped, meaning regulated, so I explained the difference. My example had the cut-off at ≈ 3.3v.

Dormin's response: That's what I said! :D It drops from 4.2, to 3.7. The difference is barely noticeable, but it's there. It works for me, on 2.2 Ohm coils. You want me to run the numbers? :D

Katya politely chimed in that I was right about the battery discharge.

Dormin: No, it's a lithium battery; it cuts off at 3.7.

Katya: Dormin, most lithium (li-ion) batteries used in ecigs drop all the way down to 3.2 or lower before cutting off. However, most of the vaping is done at ~3.7v.

He then posted a chart showing the discharge of an Li-Po battery, stating it wasn't a regular eGo cell. At this point he lost Katya and I. He appeared to be saying the Halo uses Li-Po batteries (????). Katya was following more closely and asked about a voltage cut-off on his chart.

Dormin: It's considered discharged at 3.5v, i.e. 95% used. You never fully discharge a LiPo; they get damaged if you let them. I should know, I use them in RC :D

I posted that I had only heard of Li-Po batteries in connection with RC, and asked why Halo wasn't using it as a selling point. He didn't respond.

Sorry, the rawr ended up long after all. Thank you for indulging me again.

ETA: I think I just figured out why he was after me. When he posted the wire temp link in the other thread, I told him it was too advanced for the OP's question and not helpful. Of course, I will forget this epiphany in about 15 minutes, and will not notice if he tries to put me down again. La la la la! Oblivion is wonderful!

DId you know that if you are running a dungeon and drip into your dripping atomizer, then a battle happens so you set it down, then forget you dripped in and drip into it again -> REALLY big mess?

I just proved that really conclusively!

(This is a 12 drop RDA so it wasn't just a little overdripped it was 12 drops overdripped)

I'll put the names on a list somewhere. Sadly, I'm afraid more will always crop up. I'm hearten to see Dormin (proponent of the unregulated Halo Trident) is posting advice in Chi You threads. I hope he runs numbers for them. I was looking at his history. He really likes %s, although more than once he posted that nicotine is 8x more addictive than something I forgot. I asked him how "they" knows it's 8x and not something like 7.3528x? He didn't respond.

Every time I read you are running a dungeon, I think of something else. Over the years, I have met two dominatrixes. They make great money!

ETA: I guess I wasn't as snarky as I thought. I asked how they didn't know it is 9x more addicting.

I mean really; right or wrong, how could one not respond to this?

What makes tobacco addictive, is the naturally present MAOIs. They make nicotine 8x more addictive. All tobaccos have it, to varying degrees. Read about it on Wikipedia, with references.

Nicotine by itself isn't more addictive than coffee. Tobacco is a death trap...

I'm sorry you don't feel well. :(

I've always liked Nimrod. It's actually the name of a legendary hero and and a lovely piece of music. I'm listening to the adagio right now. My friend and I started using Nimrod for people in high school. We also called them phoebes.

What name did you get spanked for? Just a hint please, I don't want to accidentally use it.
