Thank you to all who posted their condolences for my Mothers death, you people are a class act.

Susaz, sorry about your Dad passing. I am happy your Vamo showed up, mine has been a champ.

MT, I hear good things about the Tesla from Tesla owners, seems like a solid APV at a reasonable price. Vamo is kind of hit and miss, the only thing I ever had trouble with was battery rattle and the spring from AltSmoke fixed that, and of course the broken Boge carto that needed removed, even my finish (black chrome) still looks good.

Fab, the story about the microscopes seems to sum up the way China does business pretty well. You want cheap, you'll get cheap. The Chinese are capable of building reasonable quality, it just seems that the focus is on price more than quality.

I killed one of my fasttech DCT's, the metal sleeved glass style, dropped the Spinner again and cracked the glass, odd thing is it still is not leaking.

Hope I am back before the holidays, but if not Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and may the New Year be better than the old one. vape on people, and best wishes to all.

How are you feeling? How's his Lordship?
Feeling a bit frazzled today. M'Lord lost his job yesterday. He hated that job anyways and the hunt is on for a new and improved awesome kind of job.

My gallbladder surgery is set for November 19th. How are you my friend?

Steve, so sorry for your loss, friend. Susaz, sorry for your loss as well. Lord Pancake and I send our condolences to both of you and your loved ones.

Hiya, SirSteve.
So Sorry for your loss (you too Susaz)
Re battery rattle on vamo:
I too had this problem and it was recommended to me that the connection between the middle section and the top was to blame. the advice i got was to take a towel and squeeze the two sections together untill you here a pop. (the towel stops your hands from getting damaged by the pressure exerted.)No more battery rattle.

Wow. Used to be that if i missed a couple of days on this thread that i would have to read for a couple of hours just to catch up.
How's everybody doin'?

A little worried. Argentina is having problems with dollar flow. Dollars have become scarcer by the minute this past two years. Now the government is going to monitor closely any credit card spending abroad. I spend 100 bucks a month, but I'm worried. It's the only thing I buy abroad. I hope it's just a scare.

Working. This has it's good points, and it's bad points. Good that I'm productive and earning, bad that I'm sometimes too tired to bother logging in.

Good question dedi, wish I knew. Our thread here has really slowed down sadly :(

How is everyone these days?

Good news for us here in the House of Pancake! M'Lord  has found a new job, he had orientation today. He worked there 7 years ago so he is excited to return to a job he once enjoyed. He left it only because the hours were scarce back then.

Having my pesky gallbladder and stones removed tomorrow, yay!!
I should be discharged and home by tomorrow night hopefully :vapor:

Ocelot, I love your new avatar and sig. Loving your new "Stealth ProVari" I assume?

Seems the winds of change have been blowing about in all of our lives....?

haven't slept lately so took a sleeping pill last night and oops...missed work today...I was gone...17 hours I slept like the dead, don't remember anything and worse don't feel like I slept at all...feel like an .... Woke up to 30 missed phone calls and 50 missed texts and apparently someone came to my house and I didn't hear any of it. Everyone was freaked out. They weren't sure what happened between the stress with work, my grandfather and then we had some real bad weather last night even tornadoes.

Glad you're well Steph!
Here we have a new tennant, a 3 month old kitty called Gandalf, although I call him Mithrandir (grey voyager, he's a grey tabby). Lots of fun except for my grown cats, that find him a pest, although Frodo, my yellow tabby, is warming up to him.
All other things slow, although at times they speed up and then slow back down... I sometimes feel that sorting everything after my dad's passing will take years!
I have to upgrade my avatar, got a Kobo Glo, although I'm not that happy with it...

Funny how cats can just move in and find their place.

I was looking at the Kobo Glo as a cheap e-reader. What don't you like about it?

I'm having serious issues of freezing, battery depleting itself, so on. I need an ePub reader since it's the standart in Buenos Aires, so I can buy epubs locally. Shame there are only two international ereaders, and this is one. Unfortunately Sony doesn't have a light enabled reader. The T1 and T2 work like a charm. If I didn't need front light, I'd go with either of those. Stay away of the T3...

I love cats! I will be meeting Pancake's Kitteh for the first time on Sunday. His name is Gir hehe. He's been with Pancake's Parental units while the apartment was being renovated since the fire last year. REally excited about having a cat around the house again. :D

I made it through the surgery okay on Tuesday and was sent home on the same day. M'Lord  has been taking such good care of me through it all, so very grateful for him. I have 4 small incisions that seem to be healing nicely. It's still pretty hard to sit down, stand up, and get in and out of bed without grunting loudly lol, but so glad I had the surgery.

I already have noticed that I feel less "toxic" now. Everything tastes better, my right shoulder/arm has stopped hurting all together since the surgery as well yay!

Feeling sore internally now that the nerve block has worn off, but it's better than the achy crampy stabby feelings I had for so long so I think it's all good now :vapor:

Good thing I started vaping over 7 months ago! For one, I didn't have those terrible cig withdrawals in the hospital, I didn't even think about needing a vape much until I was released and on the way home. Also my lungs are in much better shape and that is important when going into surgery. They did discover that I have sleep apnea during the surgery! Hoping to get a sleep study covered so I can try a CPAP to get more restful sleep and stuff. So yeah, there's my update, hope you're all doing well out there. (((Group Hugs))))

Well done on getting through the surgery! I'm sure you'll be feeling better soon! I'm sure Lord Pancake would have mentioned it if you had sleep apnea, unless he was just being gallant. Being under anesthetic can make these things worse, which is why they will usually intubate for surgery. Obviously, they didn't do that for you in this case.

It's great you are already starting to feel better!
