Thanks Fab, the surgeries have been awhile, triple bypass June 21, 2012, shoulder Dec 6 2012, so I have healed from the physical wounds. The deductible for the insurance and the six months off work in such a short time have taken a big financial toll that I have yet to recover from though.

Hope you enjoy summer in the down under, winter just slapped us with seven inches of snow, and it has been way too cold for December here. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and yours.

Ah yes, Christmas in the tropics. The shadows at midday are *very* short in Summer here. Christmas day is usually either stinking hot or pouring with torrential rain. At the moment the most likely outcome is stinking hot in the morning and torrential rain in the afternoon... we shall see. It's more like the weather I grew up with - Extreme heat interspersed with bouts of extreme excitement.

It leads to some interesting and I suspect peculiarly antipodean Christmas traditions. Christmas Brunch is usually done on the barbecue - you cut a thick steak off the ham and throw it on the barby with some eggs.

Yes, smoked ham and eggs, Queensland style. Mmmmmm.

lol well sirsteve you're more than welcomed to come work part time at my store ;) but by the time you drive here not worth the pay

we finally got a store manager but of course still no down time for me.
The employees surprised me today with gift cards for xmas and to say thanks for trying to keep the store going the past 2 months in all it's chaos.

Now it's time for me to start getting a family doc and get my hysterectomy under way. The pain is becoming unmanageable this past week....1000mg of tylenol, 1000mg of ibuprofen, 50mg of benadryl and 60mg of sudafed later feeling cold and tired..still pain but too tired to care...
my new boss is all, you need to get this taken care of cuz I can't afford for you to try to call in or leave early....lmfao ... will you do when I have to take leave of absence for surgery? You can't handle me taking half a day or a day off what will you do if I have to take 2 - 3 months or more off?

Anyways....ug I hate cold weather...keep telling myself one day I'll leave Indiana lmfao....maybe move to Az where the weather is nicer on allergies and arthritis.

Yeah, Arizona sounds nice. Me and pain are no strangers, I really hope you find relief. Prescription Ibuprofen is 800mg, taken every 8 hours, so you are within safe limits on that. I believe it was naproxen soduim,(Aleve), that I was taking about a dozen a day of. My orthopedic surgery told 12 was the limit for a day, even though the bottle states a far lower maximum dose. Although with the combo you are taking, it is definitely time to find a permanent solution. Wishing you the best with your surgery and recovery.

Glad to hear things may be calming down a little at work for you, stay warm and safe, and may a guardian angel be at you side.

I apologize for my absence and being so woefully behind on reading the posts, both here and in our other home (which appears to be closed at the moment). I plan on catching up.

In the meantime, I have written a brief history for the new members of the ProVarinati, so they they may understand my joy at welcoming Lord and Lady Pancake into our sect. Perhaps, too (sniff) should our dearly loved MIAs ever check here, they will have a clue as to where to look for at least some of us.

Thanks everyone for all the memories on here. It's been a blast but due to matrimonial difficulties I have to shut down all of my forums accounts. So long everybody and vape away. This has been Mediocre Toker. Over and out. (I hope she's happy now!)

I am sadden by his departure and that I missed saying goodbye. Close all of his accounts? Wow. That is intense.

Just checked his profile, as far I can tell he is still an active member. I too miss the MIA's, we had a lot fun here, hope to see some of our fellow thread mates around, what a varied and interesting bunch of people from all over the globe.

Just as I was getting to know all of you... ah well. I need to swing by the other home more often, I seem to like (most of) you...

I too felt the call of the Provari, but on the way I stopped by REOlandia, and didn't quite make it to the promised land.
So I suppose I am now a REOnaut in training, it's good and all, but the hours are long and they don't have pancakes with bacon in them over there.

Ocey, what a post welcoming the Lord and Lady, tremendous effort, like LOTR and something from Narnia all rolled into one - loved it. I also enjoyed the fact that I understood most of it, but the quizzical responses and guesses as to your sobriety at the moment of post conception were hilarious.

Good to see some familiar names around, even though I came late to the party, I still like to swing by here and see what is going on.

Nice to see our thread still going here. Want to wish you all a happy holiday season! It really meant a lot to me and Slipper to see The Ocelot go to great lengths to archive not only our love story, but the story of the sense of family that came together right here in this here thread.

I came to ECF alone, trying to quit smoking because it was killing my lungs and body, and at a time where I had made a decision to distance myself from my RL family members that have been beyond toxic to me all of my life. Every last ECF member that I have crossed paths with here has contributed to giving me the support to be strong and move on to a better life. I am truly grateful to have found all of you here at ECF.

Have enjoyed meeting and getting to know some new people recently in my new ProVari family as well.

Ah, the Reo, that is a very highly regarded device here at ECF. A different type than ProVari, but from what I have read every bit as well built and thought of. If things ever get settled for me, and I can raise the money, REO just may find a home with me.

Hope to see you around.

The Reo is a different animal. Of everything I've tried in the 9 months I've been vaping, the Reo is the one experience that has no parallels with anything else except perhaps for dripping, but even then it's quite different when you get the right atty. It's all in the squonk; so hard to get used to at first, but as easy as breathing and as good as dripping when you do get the hang of it.

Even though I said one Reo VV was enough, I picked up a poor tortured Reo Grand cheap from an AVF member. Well $30, you don't get much cheaper than that. Unfortunately it was in even worse condition than advertised. Ya gotta laugh though: The description was reasonable now that I read it again - OP attempted a repair and damaged it, and there is "some" paint missing off the door. I read it while wearing my rose tinted glasses and figured it wasn't anything that I couldn't fix. Actual condition: 15% of the paint gone off the door, mostly rubbed off with use and marks from the OP's fingernails scratching the anodising. Fingernail prints in the bottle (but unused spare supplied) but the real kicker: turned up in a plastic baggie as an assortment of parts including one that does not belong on any Reo on this planet.

I had to watch Patrick's Reo Grand overhaul video to even figure out where the parts were supposed to go, but had it back together in quick time after that. It's obvious there's a problem with the 510 connector that wasn't mentioned in the description though - the center insulator on the 510 connector is so soft it lets the center pin wobble from side to side, to the point of causing a short circuit. I'm thinking an acidic juice has denatured the plastic insulator so it is more like rubber. I'll have a chat to Patrick and see what he suggests, but I'm afraid he's going to say it needs the 510 connector replaced.

I made a video of the Reo Grand put back together and working for the OP. The A7 has a 2.6 ohm coil on it - not ideal for an unregulated mod as it should realy be 1.8 ohms, but at least I got to vape the new device:

Some of you won't be able to watch the video as my Linux machine seems to use a non-microsoft codec for video encoding. Sorry 'bout that. It's just me showing the insides of the Grand and having a vape on the SR coiled A7. A bit weak - I'll make the coil at 1.8 ohms next time so I can try it on the Reo Grand.

So... Here I am with two Reos - a VV grand and an unregulated Grand which still needs a proper overhaul. I'm getting an uncomfortable feeling that I'm going to finish up with a whole family of Reo's if I'm not careful. I had so much fun putting this one back together I'm actually thinking that any broken Reo is worth a chance.

Wow, I feel bad Shadav for the long hours and the robberies, sincerely hope that things improve in your working life. Please stay safe and hopefully get some sleep.

I am going to miss mediocre toker, hope that you can somehow manage to get back, one of the nice things about this forum and thread are the insights and online friendships of people around the world.

Steph, hope that the surgery finally gave you some much needed relief. The call of the ProVari is hard to ignore, if you can swing the price, go for it, mine was a blem and with 5% off came to just under $150.00 with the 18650 extension, very much worth it. While I still use my other devices, the ProVari is certainly the best built one I own. I'll give thumbs up to the Sigelei Zmax for build quality at its price point, and Vamo is still a leader in value. Say hello to Lord Pancake.

Susaz, sorry to hear about the clamp down on foreign use of credit cards, that just seems wrong.

A fond hello to all, had to cancel internet as I am looking for a more affordable place. Trying to find a part time job so I can afford something decent and pay off the rest of my medical bills for my triple bypass and shoulder surgery, no luck yet, maybe you people can do a collective wish for luck. Truth is if I can finish paying off my medical bills, I wouldn't need the part time job, oh well.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and may the New Year be good to us all. I'll be back in full force once things get more settled.

I hope you can make ends meet. Not a day goes by when I say "everybody has hip replacement surgery, what makes me different from everyone else?" But some day it'll happen. Here HMOs make it somewhat easier to be covered. I have the biggest coverage I can afford, and nowadays is a pretty big one. I don't know when the big S day will come, so I want to be all covered.

Heal and flow! It's my wish for all of you for these holidays!

Merry Christmas, ranters!

We are off to the Austral Hotel (in Oz, in country towns the hotel is the pub) for Christmas lunch. No doubt I will come rolling back some time this afternoon stuffed full of turkey and pudding.

Hope you have a great day with your family and friends.

ETA: I will be vaping at the bar; should be interesting as there's hardly any vapers in this town.

hahaha ok I'm bored....

So everyone here has a catchi ;) title....I can haz title?
As always I'm an outsider lurking inwards lmfao

I don't have a prothing or a vampooo or a _____
I'm starting to think I'm probably the only person that has a TEC bwahaha which is fine by me...I liked the looks of it and it works damn well, one day I might even see if the flashlight works hahaha

So SirSteve has called me our Lady of Shining Light
Ocey called me Mistress Shadav and Lady Shadav of That Flashlight Thingy
which led me to find this pic
h90DF277A

I've always been the one friends come to for a shoulder...I wouldn't say I'm enlightened lol but I try to be zen and open minded and see both sides of the coin to give advice where and when I can so found the pic to be somewhat true lol....
But not very Techy so can't play too much on the name TECs...so aiming more towards it's awkward flashlight attachment that sets it apart lol

better than my normal title of The Forgotten One :D
