i think i am finding that i for sure prefer bottom coil and i love the colors on the MT3....but i think since i am too "old" to post in the new members forum..my next purchae i'll get all kahrazy and go carto tank :D

I sent you some links for what I think are the best cartos and some $10.00 tanks. I gave away my cheap carto tanks already. Tastes do vary alot and some people really like the Kanger Pro tank clero. I unfortunately was one of those that didn't like it as well.

In " Reach 4 the stars" thread that was closed because I started theorizing on why she just stopped posting all together...

I remember that thread. Did she ever come back to ECF at all? I'll have to go back and find it the end of the thread, I didn't read your theory.

Dang, fall asleep and there's 8 new pages to go through.

Personally, not a tank fan. Had one give me a plastic taste regardless of what juice and cleaning it out. I would like to try a pyrex top feed style tosee what all the hype is about, but I switch up juice all day that it would just become a pain.

As for backups, saw on Vapor Joe's website yesterday that Fasttech has a basic 900mah eGo single battery started kit for $10. One battery, one charger, one tank, and a needle nose bottle, all for $10. Good for a newbie, nice for a backup.

For delivery, either a Joyetech 510 atty, a Phoenix clone or a Vision Eternity in drip mode (unless I find a flavor I like to vape more often, then I use the tank version.) I thought about multiple vivi's or more drip attys, but I don't notice too much flavor crossover in the beginning, and that fades away.

ok i have question about the (metal tank) ones i got a Innokin iClear 30 Clearomizer Tank Dual Coil now i really like it. i love the position-able Vase Style stainless steel drip tip but every now and then i get a metal taste with it, It does not happen all the time so its not a big issue but what I am wondering is if the metal tanks also give this metal taste as well or not?

It looks like your question didn't get a response, but my coffee hasn't kicked in yet, so maybe it did. Anyway, this isn't much of an answer, but I imagine a metal taste from a tank can be possible. I primarily use stainless steel drip tips and never noticed a metal taste until someone mentioned it on a thread. I started paying attention and I did slightly taste metal - like sometimes one can taste a ss spoon. The thing is, I like it, so getting rid of the taste doesn't concern me.

I don't have a metal tank, the closest are Protanks, but I haven't used them with enough different juices to tell one way or the other; however, a member started a thread about his Protank tasting like metal sometimes. I have the unsubstantiated impression the flavor was coming from the drip tip. He ended up boiling it, which solved the problem. I don't know if he boiled it in plain water or something was added to it; Google is your friend.

Back to the OP: most of the metal tanks I have seen (like vivis) appear to be made of Anodized aluminum, like drip tips, although I could be wrong. I always shied away from that material because it looked soft to me (I've only seen pictures) and I was concerned it could get damaged. I also thought the color might chip off. I was apparently wrong on both counts; I received a drip tip as a freebie and it hasn't been squished or chipped, but it's brightly colored ( as most of the tanks like that appear to be) which I don't care for very much. I haven't noticed a metal taste, but it feels like plastic to me.

So...

Can ss drip tips taste of metal? Yes
Can it be gotten rid of? Possibly by boiling
Can Protanks taste of metal: Yes (I think it's the drip tip); reportedly eliminated by boiling
Will other tanks give off a metal taste? I don't know; suggest Google

I'm still like that too but, finally seem to be committing to one longer. I wouldn't leave the house without atleast 3 or 4 liquids. Comfortable with two now... still usually taking 3 though...

Hey there Ocelot. Remember this photo you made?

lionprovtank.jpg

You probably forgot. Well, since I am not yet a member of The Provarinati, I cannot very well use it just yet. However, it did inspire me to make one of my own....

Not too bad if I do say so myself.
