Does anyone else have the same thoughts? I was so dependent on vaping that I took my ecig everywhere and couldnt even go to the bathroom without it. Too much money was being wasted. What was wasted on this addiction probably couldve bought a new car. I was sort of shamed into quitting by my mom. She's extremely anti tobacco/anti ecigs, that she believes all the propaganda about it being as bad as real cigarettes. I was so embarrassed by my ecig use that I always hid my habit and never admitted to using it. Plus the fact that smokers look old/ugly fast and are perceived as losers was something I didnt want to deal with. Even though vaping isnt as bad as smoking, the evidence shows nicotine alone ages you just like cigarettes would.

I'm old and guess you're not. Over a lifetime of smoking I've quit several time with the longest being 6 months. Always came back to haunt me and so easy to get right back into it. I've vaped for two years now and still have an occasional cig. I'd like to quit nicotine and caffeine but not going to risk going back to smoking to do it.

Does anyone else have the same thoughts? I didnt want to lose any more money on nicotine products. What was wasted on this addiction probably couldve bought me a new car. Even though vaping isnt as bad as smoking, I heard nicotine alone ages you just like cigarettes would.

No matter what your Motivation was for Quitting e-Cigarettes, if you Feel Better without them and have No Desire to Smoke, I applaud you for quitting.

This is the 4th month now I haven't had to spend a dime on Vaping... in the past 6 months maybe 80$ on DIY supplies and 30$ on random stuff.. I like nicotine, before I vaped I liked smoking, now I like vaping so I continue to do it ^__^ although I am cutting down my nic over time .5mg lower per month..

Congrats on quitting!

Well, shoot, guess baking in the sun all my life and just living into my 70's had nothing to do with making me look old then. My mother always told me washing my hair too much would make it fall out but it's still on my head. Ha! I will continue to vape some nicotine because I want to keep half way cognisant of what's going on around me, and there are studies out there that indicate nicotine does help people in several ways. It's the smoke that damages you. CASAA.org has all this info easily gotten and read IF anyone's interested. :)

I'm 65 myself. Nobody would mistake me for being a 50-something lad. Likewise, I'm going to stick with the nic. Lots of Alz in my family tree. 10 is where I'm at now and no plans to change that.

When I was a kid my grandfather used to tell me his would be the last generation of men who would go bald, because it was wearing hats that made you go bald and hats had gone out of fashion. My guess is that the one about nic making you look old and wrinkly is about as likely to turn out true as the hat theory.

I consider the possibility of stopping vaping. I suspect it would be easier than quitting smoking cold turkey but I haven't tried. One of my cigarette relapses came after 10 years. That can't happen again. I wish there were more stories about people transitioning out of vaping without relapsing to cigarettes. I wonder how many of those people there are in the population. Has anyone tried to survey and report on those?

My congratulations to anyone who quits vaping without relapsing to cigs.

If I don't have anything nice to say, I probably shouldn't say anything at all.
