I agree, but we Brits have a strange sense of humour sometimes lol and I am a fanboy of certain things as well, (boys and their toys ) springs to mind

This requires a new Iatty cap, not just a small cap on the existing one. But it can be done for sure

Another popular one, that is very apt in more ways than one, "It is all greek to me."
I would be willing to bet that within a few weeks there will be people that have come up with an alternative to the ce2 cup and hopefully it will be something that you can get at any hardware store, keep an eye on paralexx2 I bet he comes up with something but like the other poster said, if you bought a ten pack of ce2s then you would probably be set for life. So I do believe your concerns are unwarranted. The iatty is gonna be great for some but will need to be practiced to make work properly. IMO
