to easily lose the burnt taste you can use the iatty with no wick... just wrap the wire around a pin minus the wick. this also allows for more smaller loops. make sure to push the coil close to the bottom of the ceramic. then shove some wick material in the holes so you don't get too much juice. works awesome. no burnt taste just drops in vapor production.
i'm using it on a ggts to control air and the ct is convenient... i am unaware of how it would work on other pv's... it might leak.

Is this the method that allow us to change the wick without changing the wire shown in the video by imeo?

i don't think so... i can't find that video i know he mentioned doing the video in the hd making the resistance video. i built the coil without a wick and the wick is only in the side slots to add resistance to the juice flow into the cone and coil. there is no wick in the ceramic.

just got my iatty today but once i fill the juice, the iatty leak from the 510 connector point. And there isn't much vapor produce. what is wrong here??

Hey Pain;

My cause of leaks was due to the wire getting caught, only slightly but doesn't take much, between the bottom plastic and the base in the thread area. Make doubly sure when wrapping the wire around the bottom plastic that the wire stays put right up against the stem part of the bottom plastic. You will see there are no threads in this area. I had mentioned in a previous post it would be nice to have an indention in the plastic near the stem so that the wire will rest in the indention and not wander across the smooth area of the stem and into the threaded area.

Resolve this issue, and as long as you have the correct o-rings installed you'll be golden.

yeah, i've solved the leaking issue and for 2days straight not a single drop of leak. But one thing that still remains is the burn taste after awhile of vaping. think i'll empty the juice and open up the cone more.

You can adjust the cone at any time. You don't need to wait till it's empty if you don't want to :)

After watching the entire "making vaping iAtty chunk 1" vid, it does seem like the same idea, and I've gotta try this!:toast:

Similar, though different in the fact he pushes the coil low down in the ceramic cup and uses no wick at all in there. Only wick is used at he sides of the plastic and up to the cup, to help prevent leaks and feed juice.
I see it akin to a dewicked atty. :)

I found that opening the cone as I vape the liquid down is the way to go

yup i got it... But in order to not have the burn taste i loosen the cone a lot more than 1mm gap.

3 ohm works well for 6 volts.
Thanks poppa! didn't manage to get 3 ohm, but got a 3.4ohm instead for my 6.4v. :)

That's fine, the 1mm gap is just a guideline. You can have it wherever it works best for you. In modville, there are no hard and fast rules :)

hi guys,

can anyone please let me know if i can use the iatty for dripping and not put any liquid inside the tank. I am afraid to try it without asking. I might melt or burn the delrins inside it. :)

Haven't heard of anyone trying that, but if you do I'd take out the cone first
