Well the beads came today, with the wrong pliers. They sent me some 5" Knotting Plier.
Contacted customer support and they said, "I am very sorry to hear that. I will have a new order created for you right away and you keep the incorrect item sent in error :)"
Very happy with that, great customer support. :)
Well that does it, you sold them to me. :) Just got 100 Sterling Silver Crimp Beads Ultra Micro 1mmx1mm and Micro Crimping Pliers. I really can not buy anything else for a while now, or "She who must be obeyed", will have my guts for garters. :D

They work extremely well. I finally changed my wick out to stainless again from the fiberglass and it works amazingly well with the silver wire, 32ga kanthal and silver crimping beads. Consistent, tasty and enough vapor to choke an elephant. I did mod the ceramic cup just a tad to allow a mesh roll big enough to fill the width of the channels in the plastic parts. I still use the fiberglass wick to insulate the wires from the stainless mesh and to fill in the rest of the gap. I have some diamond precision files and I used those to male the gap in the ceramic cup wider. Everything is working VERY well. When I take a hit while hanging with my friends and we are all vaping, they tell me when I exhale I completely disappear from view for a few seconds, it's great.

Never a dry or harsh hit, always smooth and flavorful and consistent TH. I am in vapor heaven right now.

Oh and to give you and idea of how durable the resistance/NR wire is with 32ga kanthal and the silver crimp beads. I was able to unwrap the wire from the wick I was using for 2 weeks and re-wrap it onto the kanthal without breaking a crimp or the resistance wire :)

Week three comes to an end in a couple of days and still working like a champ even after having removed and re-wrapped it.

This is not something I would normally do, but I am durability testing and so far so good :)

Wow nice results. BTW when you first make a new coil do you trim the excess wire or tuck it someplace? I am thinking I need some tweezers because I have some stubby fingers that make rewrapping trimmed wires impossible.

I snip them but use some very thin needle nosed pliers for doing the re-wrappig around the posts. I have the same problem with the stubby fingers hence all the precision hand tools in my toolbox :)

When I get some money saved up I am ordering some kanthal, silver NR, silver beads, and pliers.

I am on 11 days with my current set up (nichrome and NR wire that came with the IAtty, 2.0ohm at 3.7, and a XC-116 wick) and it is working like a steam engine. I use the wick on top of the wire setup and for me it is perfect. No leaks. Perfect, clean taste and huge vapor. I have to say that Imeo, you are a genius. And to Jonah, Rick, Lord, Silentt, and Repent, thank you very much for your leg work and help in making this the greatest atty/tank combo on the planet.

:2cool: Just found this type of fiberglass, quite thick and I think it bears a very high degrees of heat .. It is also available everywhere .. Do you have any information about it?

for more info...

Need to find out from the manufacturer if it is coated or impregnated with any chemicals before you even think about vaping with it. You should try the XC-116 Nextel Sleeving. Stuff works perfect, lasts forever and is easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Just an update......

After making about a dozen by wrapping, crimp tubes, and soldering.....soldering is at the top of the list; especially when making a few at one time. I'm using Super Easy silver solder/paste mix that has a melting temp of about 1200F. Just a TINY bit of solder/paste and a couple of seconds with the torch and it's done. Any excess can be ground off.

Soldering is stronger and much easier to wrap. Here's an avg looking joint; hopefully it will get cleaner and smaller with practice.

If I'm doing one; I'll wrap the wires; crimping goes on the shelf. By the time I get one done with crimping I can solder 2 and I don't have to worry about one of the wires pulling out of the tube.

I have not even received my crimping pliers and you are changing the game.:lol::lol:
Oh well, maybe when my crimps run out.
