I'm so sorry Fran. If it were me I would be doing everything to get a transplant because the list is long. Then if they cure him you could get off the list. JMO

I was reading up on that cancer Fran and first off who comes up with these names "cholangiocarcinoma"? Secondly it says "Surgical removal of the tumor and relief of bile duct blockage are the main goals of treatment." So why can't they remove the tumor?

The tumor has completely wrapped around the joint of the bile duct (or bilary tree) which is in the middle of the liver. All they can do is put a stent or stents in to keep the bile ducts open. The tumor can't be removed.
