Thanks Fiver... I've been on the Bus since 9/28/75, give or take a couple of Tabs

Escapin' through the lily fields
I came across an empty space
It trembled and exploded
Left a bus stop in its place
The bus came by and I got on
That's when it all began
There was cowboy Neal (Cassidy)

At the wheel
Of a bus to never-ever land

Snatched some Tix for June 1st at Mountain View. This could be something special. Kia has been to 5 shows, Mrs Wharf 11 shows, and one of my nieces this last summer.... If I get my way I'll have Kia and her boyfriend, eldest niece and hubs, 2nd niece and boyfriend and my nephew and girlfriend.... With Mrs Wharf and my sister sipping Lemon drops on the coast.
A definite Bucket Lister

Well, not counting the football team with the best record in the league, of course. ;)

I was only referring to the 2 with problems. The Rams have no problems.

Ahhhh, the ones north and south of her, yes indeed. The one on her back porch though (not that she'd know about it), they're doin' "kinda okay", ya. I've disliked them from the moment they first splashed yellow onto their uniforms. I liked the old Roman Gabriel, Lance Rentzel, & Deacon Jones Rams. Not the yellow ones though. ;)

It's great to remember them old icons that played when football still resembled the game. They have so many rules now that the refs can't make a correct call. Pretty soon they'll have robots (or I guess they're now called androids) playing with the players controlling them. Then instant replay will be analysed by computers for the correct call. I will be amazed if we don't start coming to the end of our season. We've far exceeded my expectations this year.

It's borderline unwatchable. I think Jack Lambert said it best, such a very long time ago.

Seriously. Just put flags on their hips and call it what it is. Or just go full two-hand touch. At least they wouldn't be stopping play every 20 seconds. Ridiculous, it is.

He called it. That was a long time ago. Just think what them old players would say now. I mean they get crazy money to play so why not let them earn those insane salaries. Maybe they should change the game to ping pong so no one gets hurt.

That was COLD, CMD. "Antarctica cold", in fact.

It's football. They know what they're getting into from Jump.

When I was about 12, I got sliced nicely with the blade of hockey skates. I do mean, "nicely" too. There was blood... (and THEN some).

I didn't give up playing the game until I was 17 years old. That decision had everything to do with a particularly attractive blond girl, with perky blue eyes (among other things), and absolutely nothing to do with the massive stitch-job I had received five years earlier.

I'd have been playing in the next game if my parents and coach would have let me.

Play the game, whatever the game may be. Make it "Flag" if they must, but do something so it's not 3.5 hours of play-stopping whistles. It's painful (for me), so I choose to just check scores instead. No whistles that way. ;)

Speaking to you from Antarctically cold Kentucky. DP, I watch very little NFL these days and one reason is the length of the games that have have become boring. For other reasons, I hate the endless worthless replay by the officiating crew and head office; get right, get it wrong and just move on. I am sick of the advertising and "TV" timeouts. I am sick of "awareness" months for diseases that anyone not under a rock is already aware of. I hate the pandering to various identity groups. I hate the overdone celebrity involvement, most of whom I have never heard of before the game and later regret having heard of them during the game or pregame shows. I would like to know what constitutes a completed pass without the ultra slow motion views and minute analysis of a wiggle when hitting the ground.

Attractive blue eyed blondes are an adequate reason to do or not to do just about anything. I found one with grey eyes. She deprived all of female humanity of my wonderful self at the exulted age of thirty-six (if my failing memory still serves) and has kept me so for thirty-eight fine years.

Oh, and to keep it honest, I have a bunch of unused Ikanvape carto's.

I only have two thumbs to "UP". If I had a thousand (thumbs), they'll ALL be "UP".

But he got insane wages and knew the risks to play. Just like police, military, etc. accept they don't get paid as much.

Exactly my point. We used to watch a football game with some stops for officiating and commercials. Now we watch commercials and officiating (damn near every play) with a little football.

I have some boxes of Ikenvape cartos as well. Oh and I just mute the sound during commercials unless it's halftime. I do other stuff at halftime.

How many times when it was clearly a TD and the referee calls no TD... or vice versa ??? Or any other bad call and especially one changes the game completely.
There have been 23 Perfect games in Baseball, but should have been 24. Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga had a perfect game going with 2 outs in the 9th. It was obviously clear after review that the runner was out, yet the Ump called it safe. OH, the Ump apologized but tough luck Armondo, NO replay.
In 1984 the 9'ers went 15-1 and won the Superbowl, sorry DP !.. The one loss was to the steelers (makes you happy DP, I'm sure). At the end of the game there was a steelers pass to the end zone that the DB clearly went in front of the WR without touching him and stopped the 4th down TD. The Ref called PI and the Steelers won... The next year the NFL started Instant Replay.
I know I know... No love from you two, as it should. But those two events were huge in the Sports history.
Obviously I am for getting it right (as much as possible) and I don't mind waiting to come back from commercial... I'm sitting on my Azz anyway :thumb:
