Norman, Ok
I'm here right now using firefox with no problems..seem to be a IE problem.
Anyway, how do you "LOG OUT" of every "tab" ?? I stupid, remember?

The newer versions of IE are tabbed... ie you can have several pages open in different tabs. Each tab has a small "x" on the right side of them... clicking on the X will close that tab. So if you have multiple tabs open... close all but one, on that one, use the log out option on the top right side of the webpage... close the browser clear the cache etc...

If it works... you won't be logged in when you visit the forum the next time. This doesn't clear the cookies...

Actually I lied before when I said I haven't used IE in years. I only use it when I go to a site with Firefox and it doesn't display properly, usually it is because it was coded with IE proprietary code. First I try Chrome then I try it on IE to see if it displays right. But I do this not often at all, months now since the last time.

   nobody gonna believe that..........I wouldn't even no where to start with the equipment you have :D

For every tab you have open on ECF.....at the top of the page you can click on "log out" ;) and close those tabs before clearing the cache ;)

The problem is my desktop.
Working just fine now in IE, on my tablet..

Time for a clean sweep on the desktop I guess....

my expertese in PC's is limited to hardware. Sure, I can get by with OS's, but things like registry modification and such, I leave well enough alone..

AND i know for sure my keyboard cant spell worth a damn...

I thought later that wouldn't work as I realized a local DNS problem would affect all browsers.

There is one simple thing to do that may (or may not) help to find the problem. Create a new user account, log in on that account and try IE again. If it works, it's a problem with your old user account settings.

If this is the case, let me know which version of Windows you are running and I will point you to how to reset your user account profile. Or you can decide to just move to the new user account and delete the old one. Make sure everything you expect to work actually works on the new account before deleting the old one.

I tried that, didn't work..I just went ahead and installed Google Chrome, and everything is working fine..

Kinda weird..
