Thanks Cucco. ;)

So after some Noalox and working back and forth it has loosened up...
Both my regular length extension tubes work perfectly...smooth and easy threading with 100% flush fit with the top of the tube.
One of my 18650/Kick extension tubes now threads easily with 100% flush fit now.. The other 18650/Kick extension tube does not..
I found the problem with the one tube that wont let the Strata screw flush.. The threads were not cut as deep into the tube as the other 3... The threads stop at the top of the vent slots where as the other 3 tubes the threads go to the bottom of the vent lots.. David I know it will still fire but I like it perfect.. Is there anything that can be done to correct this issue? New 18650/Kick ext tube or can I send this one in to get threaded deeper?

Hmm.. I guess I should test my extension tubes. I just assumed..................

I have the same problem. Got mine yesterday. Worked noalox into the threads and it screws down all the way now except it stops one thread short if being flush due to the vents.

I need to say this.........

People are posting, that they are guessing the ohms of their Strata builds. Many are guessing, because they don't have a multi-meter. Guessing, may be all fine and good for those who have built many coils. But, even then, we are using a brand new device, and building 'out-of-the-box' coils. Personally, I don't care how many coils I have built. I will test each and every build, prior to placing on a mod. One bad short, early on, got my attention!

New Builders: Please invest in a multi-meter?

Super-T Family: Please be safe?

I love my Super-T family!
Your post just made me realize I have no way to test coils on my strata when it arrives in a couple of days. I always test them on another device that has an ohm meter built in but didn't even think about the fact that the strata will not fit on it. Now I can make sure I have a multimeter ready when it gets here. You definitely saved me from a  moment. :)

Try them all out.... Its the 18650/Kick extension tube from my first ELA that has the problem, threads are to shallow vs the other 3 tubes...
I sent an email to SuperT asking if I can sent the tube in to get the treads cut lower into the tube body...

Here is the gap due to threads not being cut deep enough into one of my 18650/Kick extension tubes. When you look inside the tube you can see that the threads stop above the top of the vents and that's why the Strata cannot screw flush with the tube...

My other 18650/Kick extension tube has no gap as the threads are cut to the bottom of the vents, my 2 regular tubes threads are also cut to the bottom of the vents....

David do you have an extra ELA 18650/Kick extension tube I could buy or do I have to send this one in and pay shipping to get threads cut correctly? Or does anyone have an extra ELA 18650/Kick extension tube they want to sell me?
Yes I know it will still fire with the gap, but I wont accept it, its an ELA and it must be perfect!!..

I too should get a dig multimeter. I had a good mid priced one, but it was really jumpy and could never get a good reading for my coil resistance. I have just been using the box type with the 510 connection. I have a little device someone sent me , those doohickys, and it works great for testing my batteries. So with the Strata, I now test it on my fatty, take a reading, take it off and put it on the Strata. I was guestimating, which did take quite a few tests. I keep hearing great things about those really cheap ones from Harbor Freight. If you are lucky you can get them for less than 8 bucks and free shipping with their coupons.( which I constantly miss out on )

So my multimeter broke, any suggestions on one to get to replace it?

I have some crazy high dollar ones, packed away in my trailers. Yes, I still haven't unpacked yet! I still don't know where I want to live when I grow up this time! Ugh! :) But, for our purposes, I don't know they work any better than the cheap ones. I am currently using a cheap Radio Shack. I tested it with my KFLs, and it is reading the same as my 510 Atomizer Ohm Meters.

I was trying to measure the actual wire before making/ attaching to the atty. I hate re-making things. But now that I know that if I cut my wire ( at least when making my wires for Ody ) at pieces of 1.25 inches I get the desired 1.08 I like.

For Strata Im sure a low cost multimeter for measuring the built Strata would be easy, I guess you just place the positive on the pos post and the neg where?

I agree, it must be perfection. Wow, Im assuming its the lighting, because it looks as if you had the satin ELA anodized to a charcoal , almost black colour. I debate on having mine done black, but then Id miss the beautiful tone the Satin is. I guess Id have to get another someday and have it anodized. A girl can wish, right?

My Satin Strata is a light silver grey color... I had my flash off when I took the picture, it is just dark lighting that gives it that color.. anavidfan did you ever find out what was wrong with your ELA's ??

Saw this earlier today - triva on VP had his entire ELA black rhodium plated.
