The last build I did I had the coils spread out on the hemp, to the edge of the deck, almost touching the edge all the way around. To be honest I didn't notice a difference except that the dual I just built has more vapor production. Positioned the bottom of the coils almost level with the deck. I had to open up the airflow a 1/4 turn from where I was before.
Working very well for me.

I still need to fine tune the beast, but I'm pretty happy with my first build. 1 ohm micro coil on coton.
Vapor production is ok, not as good as what I get from the same build on an Origen, but flavor....awesome, just awesome.
And this thing is just gorgeous on the ELA.
I'll play with different builds in the next days, but I'm quite pleased right now

SuperT has always answered my emails-eventually..In fact I recently had a problem-emailed SuperT on 4/15, received a response on 4/15, then received a Shipping notice later that day......My replacement part is scheduled for delivery today 4/17...
Received the replacement ELA 18650/Kick extension tube today ...

I changed my coil today and went for a vertical MC. Bottom of the coil is just 1-2 mms above the deck. Huge improvement! Vapor production is excellent and TH is just perfect for me now. I think if you want to stick with a single coil and stay away from the ophion, that's probably the way to go. The build is very simple and the results are great. Understanding how the Strata airflow works took me a few hours, but that was definitely worth it to make some efforts to get this right.

So a great fellow member and Super-T buddy was so helpful. He sent me his Strata with a coil custom built to what i use , so kind to help me.
So i take photos so I can replicate it. I take a doz shots, finish , add my favorite juice that Im using on my "other" dripper so I can have a good comparison, wouldnt you know it, this happens

So I decided to put the modified top cap on my base, with my dual set up and it quite nice. Its a top cap with the xtra holes drilled higher up. The photos were posted by K3vin. It works great, nice large clouds and no need for the gap or threads showing, Very smooth TH .

Avid,If you will notice,I have the side pins which hold the wire on each side slightly bent inwards..The extra holes caused the walls to come in slightly..So there will be a bit of a feeling of it wont go thread,but it will.

Probably already figured this out, but it won't thread on because that's a PrecisePlus Strata, not a Simplicity Strata which have different threads.

That's too much of a gap for me!
Once, and let me tell you - that was the last time I ordered eliquid from Stinky's Buttjuice.
