Just done a horizontal dual micro coil on wick with total combine resistance of 0.8ohm... most of the coil is inside the well, only abt 30% of it is exposed. top cap one turn from base. ..VP is as good any conventional 1.5mm airhole dripper. TH and flavour remain strong. I'm a 12mg guy, but with this bad boy, I had to go down to 6mg...lol

Ditto for me. My 6 mg kicking my ....! And it's still just single coil

I am going to have to try that build in the morning h0kies! I would love to see a center post top that unscrews right below the vortex twist on the top post, that would make vertical coils a little easier. I only received my Strata Monday I have done maybe 4 or 5 builds coil position seems to be key. The best build for me so far was 26ga 8 wraps dual around a 2mm screwdriver lifted high from the deck, Insane flavor but vapor production is less than the same build in a traditional dripper. Flavor is amazing better than my kayfun with vapor production on par with a kayfun

I am going to try some dual stove tops tomorrow, I think the 360 air flow will benefit that style coil.

David what would be the chances of seeing a top post that also unscrewed right below the vortex on the top post? I would gladly give my money for a post like that.

What if it wasn't two piece, but just a taller center post (the fixed rhodium plated part that the vortex screws into) to begin with and then a shorter vortex screw? That would move the positive position up higher?

That sounds much easier to work with (at least for me).

My first two Strata builds were horizontal coils using Ekowool. They weren't very good (blame is on my builds, not the device). I had my friend build vertical microcoils with cotton and the results are much, much, much better. I'd still like to give horizontal coils/Ekowool a shot, as it's my preferred material, but this setup is working brilliantly for me.

Hi RPadTV,

Setup looks good :) What gauge are you using and what ohms are you running them at?

My first build. 26g kanthal microcoil 6/7 wraps. Just single for now @0.8ohms
Throat hit yes. Not the burning feeling like from hot spots....legit throat hit

Flava is really good. Although spheroid still my best tasting atty

Vapor production very decent still need to play around with the draw cap. But it does work as advertised

Nicotine buzz like nobodies business. My 6 mg is giving me jitters. Making it difficult to type :)

Entire build took less than 10 mn!

Need to stop testing NIC sick

This atty is Amazeballll!

Made me a super t fan boy! Yea I said it!

Fanboys are allowed as long as they admit they are....lol.

Thanks for sharing your setup and pics! Time to lower that Nic a bit :)

20140430_165143.jpg This has been the best build for me by far very good vapor production. Dual stove tops 26ga 4 wraps I am guessing it is around .3ohms. The only con is you have to drip often the juice well does me no good with this build. I just need to play around with how I wick it.

Also going to order some fattydaddyvapes doughnuts and see how those do in the Strata.

Sorry no pic right now, but the best build I've done so far is a vertical mesh build with 30 gauge, about 5 wrap, around 1.4 ohm...that's right 1.4 ohm. Great vapor flavor and the throat hit is exactly what you expect from a dripper...I packed some cotton underneath the mesh, and around for wicking and to hold the juice...if you do gennies (sorry for the Jenny's on this thread) try this...

What type mesh are you using?

Well i dont know what everyone is complaining about. Vaping since about 6 months, so im no expert. My first coil in the Strata was admittedly terrible. Vapor was nearly inexistent, constant gurgling through the DT and a flooded chimney, horrid.

Then i read some stuff and did it again. 1 x 0,28 MC, aligned to the center post, as close to the edge as possible. Cotton wick and made sure that i didnt overfill the wells to avoid any gurgling. Works perfectly, superb flavor and as good in the cloud dpt as my Origen.

Only complaint left really is that i wish there was an integrated function to obscure those 4 holes on the fly :)

a 7mm x 0.5 die can be used to fixed 510 atty threading, anyone know the threading these use?

The threading on the Simplicity isn't made via tap and dies so it isn't a standard thread and is specific to our product. It's made via CNC g-code so it would read something like this to make a thread:

N1001 T0808
N1010 G00 Z.2
N1011 G00 X5.1
N1020 G99 S350 M03
N1030 G92 X5.0 Z-4.75 F.250
N1031 G00 X5.1
N1032 G00 Z .2
N1033 G92 X4.990 Z-4.75 F.250
N1034 G00 X5.1
N1035 G00 Z .2
N1036 G92 X4.980 Z-4.75 F.250
N1037 G00 X5.1
N1038 G00 Z .2
N1039 G92 X4.970 Z-4.75 F.250
N1040 G00 X5.1
N1041 G00 Z .2
N1042 G92 X4.960 Z-4.75 F.250
