Well, I didn't follow my own advice here, quoting it just to bring it forward since I just killed a 350
Got my strata built, test fired, everything okay so put on the top and drip tip. When I fired it, I got nothing . . . then my little Ti started to get warm and I noticed the button was still all the way in. The spring wasn't enough to break the connection when I had the hard short from center pin to drip tip and it just stuck there. By the time I pulled the switch back to neutral and unscrewed the Strata the battery was almost too hot to touch. Fortunately it didn't swell at all so was easy to just dump out of the tube. It wasn't a fresh charge, but now it's down to 2.25 volts so it's toast
Looking down in, I can see the center connection is just a little crooked from having more wire on one side than the other underneath it. So I must re-iterate my caution to check this if you're using the stock drip tip
