What is the difference between the poly tubes and Pyrex tubes other than the material? Why is Pyrex for advanced users?

Thanks in advance for your help. 

I think Jonah says the Pyrex is for advanced users because it is glass and can break if you're not careful...may be other reasons too, but that's all I can really remember right now.

Jonah, I'd like to order a depth charge, but I need a few other things that seem to be out of stock currently. I need the 701-510 drip tip adapter and some pyrex tubes for the tank, any idea when these will be available? Is there a chance of running out of the tanks such that I should just go ahead and order it alone?

I won't have time to make the 701-510 drip tip adapters before Vapefest and I am going on a 2 week road trip leaving from Vapefest. I am hopeful that the Pyrex Tubes will be ready Monday or Tuesday and the Stainless will be ready by or before Tuesday. Of the first 100 Depth Charges 38 remain and I will be adding 75 more when I add the stainless and Pyrex tube options. It is your call if you want to order 2 times or just one.

Won't a standard 510 drip tip work with the depth charge?

Yes a 510 drip tip works with the Depth Charge. The Depth Charge has the end of your cartomizer sticking out of it and that is where you put your drip tip.

Yeah sorry for the confusion, the adapter was for another toy I'm awaiting.

Thanks Jonah, I think I'll try to wait until the tubes are ready and then place my order so I get free shipping :)

So are the current DCs not stainless? Are they aluminum?

The DC is stainless steel, the all stainless option is for a stainless steel tube rather than polycarbonate or Pyrex.

Just want to find out is the.Torpedo Slim tank mentioned in some previous post is actually refer to the Torpedo mini 2.5ml?

No, Jonah hasn't come out with the Torpedo Slim yet...it will be narrower (slimmer), to fit better on an Ego style battery. I know Jonah has been super busy lately, getting the Depth Charge tank out and getting ready for Vapefest in Vegas this comming week-end, but am sure he will update when he gets the chance. :)

I get the beveled bottom/air flow thing now.. I just tried my torpedo tank on the Provari I received today and it screwed down completely flush so there was no air flow at all...

Still though, flush fit looks so much better IMO... I think it'd look cool if the bottom cap had slots in it to allow air flow, instead of the bevel.

If you're not getting airflow on your Torpedo on a Provari, it's usually because the CE2 was cut leaving too short a piece at the bottom. Cut one a little longer (just a mm or 2) so that it sticks out a mm or 2 and that should solve your dilemma.
Concerning the bevel, all I can say is that it looks great on my Provari. This tank is so rock solid I can't believe how well made it is. If you're into tanks that use Boge Carto's, you will not be disappointed!!

Umm.. that does look good. :)

Which one (capacity) is that?

I just traded a liquinator... I haven't had luck with the cartos yet. It was a slotted dual coil one, maybe that's why it tasted like absolute s***?

The CE2s are the ones I got from Jonah.. unfortunately I don't have any more to cut. But if I get some new ones to cut myself, I'll be sure to cut em a little longer.. thanks for the info on that.

First of all, you really need to lose the dual Coils and try a Boge, either a 2.0Ω LR or a 3.0Ω standard. I use the LR's at 4.0 volts. The DC's leak like a sieve and are very finicky. I've yet to have a Boge leak. I love R5 CE2's but they are getting harder and harder to find so I tried a carto tank. I won't go back, in fact, if you like the regular sized ones, I may just give them away to you! Now please don't think for a minute that the Leakinator is even from the same planet as the Depth Charge. It's not. This thing is tight, acurately machined, comes with a tube that won't crack withhout serious abuse and, with a Boge Carto, works flawlessly all day long! Last thing is I'd go the punched holes route rather than the slot. It's incredibly simple to do, especially if you have one of Jonah's Jig sets.

I forgot to add that I ordered mine with the small Torpedo sized tubes. They probably hold about 2.5ml (instead of the small Depth Charge tube that holds 2ml) but don't allow you to slide the tank up to restrict the flow of juice. I just didn't see the need to do that.
