I agree ..and I wasn't referring to any individual post. It seems to be a general complaint. Fluid vapes also seems to have a good share of complaints. If there is anything to be learned from this episode it is to be patient and avoid preorders. You end up suffering delays and the likelihood of ending up with a faulty product especially given the less than perfect quality control of Chinese mod manufacturers in the early batches.

I don't think it was your post but the fact that they are not replying to e-mails, messages or answering there phones. No communication tends to get people a little ...... off.

All they have to do is put an update on the site and most people would be reasonable, with a lack of information and communication it simply makes them look shady.

They replied to my email within a few hours yesterday. Elev8 gave me an estimate that that my blue ipv 50 watt (order #5875) would probably ship from China late next week. However, I was very clear that I wasn't expecting an absolutely firm date.

I've ordered artsy-crafty odds and ends from China for years. It's not uncommon for Chinese manufacturers to get very cagey in their responses when they run behind on orders. My guess is that Elev8 isn't getting firm shipping dates and is reluctant to post dodgy responses.

Well, a quick email or a return call would have put me more at ease. Even on their FB page people have been asking for some type of update and they have not said anything for about a week now. I was fine a few days ago and content to wait as I saved about $30 and I do have other devices but it is the lack of communication that is now causing me to have some doubts, especially when I do see others getting theirs so quickly.

How is it that these suppliers have theirs and are shipping right away vs elev8. That's my concern. Would the manufacturer possibly have gotten upset over the discount elev8 was giving so they have slowed or even possibly ceased their shipments to them? See, I over think everything and this is why I live on the island of misfit toys.

I've tried three times to contact elev8, by email and sent a message on their site with no success. When I posted on their blog tonight they deleted the post. It wasn't extreme, just that I was disappoint with the lack of communication. It seems like they have the time to view the blog and remove posts but not to answer the consumer.

That isn't a good method of building consumer confidence. Damn shame but I will be reversing the charge on my card.

I just ordered from wetvapes. It will be here by the end of the week. I'm really hoping I can get refunded from elev8. Their complete lack of customer service is appalling. I asked for a ballpark time frame from them.

I don't care if they are overwhelmed. They should hire someone to do customer service if they can't handle it. They're obviously not hurting financially between this and the Cana. If their ordering process wasn't so deceptive they wouldn't be having all the issues they're having(or all the orders they're receiving for that matter)

I'm waiting until tomorrow for a response for a refund and if I don't hear from them, I'll be putting a claim in with my bank. I will never think of ordering anything from them again. I wish I was privy to all the drama with the Cana before I decided to order this through them

I would like to order from wetvapes also but I am reluctant till I hear back from my CC company. Oh well guess I will just wait and relax and see what happens. Wet Vapes does have a notice saying they won't be processing orders till Aug 1st

I called wetvapes to place the order, and make sure it was actually in stock and he said it would be shipping in the AM. I also called my bank and they said it could be 90 days for a reversal of charges. So hopefully I can just get a refund from elev8, if I EVER get a response.

Awesome! Congrats. I have decided to hold off on ordering from anywhere else for now. It's making me crazy and it's time to just let it go now. Hopefully I get a refund from elev8 or my cc will reverse it quickly. If it takes 90 days then so be it. Time for be to go blow up stuff in my game. Ya, I'm a guild wars 2 fan. It's a good way for me to take out my frustrations ha ha

Exactly. You can disable the touch fire button and it has the quality control sticker. I called before I placed the order and they were very friendly and confirmed both of these things.

I just got so sick of dealing with them. I made an effort to have it replaced or have my money refunded with no reply and have emails to prove this. You should have no issue canceling the charge with your credit card company since you were in the same boat I was in. I would also recommend wet vapes very helpful and said I would have it in two days.

Wells Fargo gave me the money back until August 5th at which point if I am not satisfied I keep the money. If so, I simply give Wells Fargo back what they fronted me to cover the charge. Love Wells Fargo. Unfortunately, I can't buy another device yet because I simply don't have enough money. I was scraping it to get the ipv2 in the first place. So I'll have to wait.

They aren't answering you either? They have my device, I know they do. But they won't answer me.

Lmk if they answer your emails. Because I did the same process and I am getting no responses whatsoever

It's probably just a personal thing on their part , i wouldn't sweat it , some customers just give off a vibe that repels certain vendors and i'd bet thats the case here . Give it a little more time

What kind of vibe do you mean? The kind of vibe that says "you have my money and my product and can't even answer an email?" I work in a service industry. People would walk if we were this rude and I'm walking from them. It's business not personal. I have to protect my interests too. If I wait too long I can't get any money back. And they haven't exactly been installing confidence. Oh well, they have till August 5th

On a different note, does anyone have a recommendation for a RBA with a big tank that wont leak that would work well with the IPV? Ive pretty much exclusively used dripping RDA's since ive been vaping and I want to find something that i can use while i work that has good airflow, flavor and vapor. The world of RBA's is pretty foreign to me. I'm kind of leaning towards this Big 26650 Kayfun Lite Plus by Tobeco - 101 Vape

Herb, I couldn't have been nicer so maybe it's not the vibe.

Bigger picture is if this is how they are handling the purchase how will they support the warranty. They are pushing out hundreds of these PV's, what happens if there is an issue. Now there is revenue and they aren't responding, what happens when there is no revenue and one of their consumers needs support?

Simple communication on their website would have solved the challenges. If they did nothing more then post their inquires to the supplier it would have shown their consumer action on their part. If the supplier didn't respond, post that too.

Personally I was just looking for a response and possible time table for delivery. From the posts on their blog other were looking for the same, it's not to much to ask when they have allocated funds on your card.

Elev8 is a good company just be patient!
Hmmm, damn. Now I don't know what I should do. I already emailed them once ( elev8) to cancel but then changed my mind and told them so. But I have never gotten a response to either email, nor did they answer their phone ( just a voice message) I wonder if If I can cancel through my credit card company. They were quick enough to charge my card! Sigh, I hate not knowing what the right answer is.

That's ridiculous. The vibe a customer gives off should have nothing to do with responding to an email about a faulty product that they have already spent ~100 dollars on. FluidVapes has been in several people who are just trying to get the product that they payed for. Ignoring emails and selling broken devices is not how you do business.

Preorders are probably not the best idea if one expects status updates from the vendor. Chinese manufacturers often don't give firm ship dates and, if they do, one can not rely on the shipping date being accurate, particularly for popular items. They also will often ignore communication with vendors who pester them about ship dates.

A vendor who publicly shares ship dates that a Chinese manufacturer ends up not meeting runs a significant risk of finding themselves in the position of never being able to place an order with that manufacturer ever again.
