So I just wanted to stop by and give my review of this box mod. First I should say that I have been using it for 4 days and I am a district manager of 4 Vape Shops so I have put it through the ringer and overall I give this a 8 out of 10.
The positives: very responsive, great fit in the hand, built well - although it definitely is not as heavy as most box mods but I don't consider this a bad thing, ohm reader has been on the mark (except one time when my screw loosened up and I couldn't figure out why it was burning so hot. Hahaha), volts show up without pressing the fire button, fires every time on wake up unlike the
dna 30 clone, I like the touch sensor button but is also going to be in the negatives, battery life is good but it also will drop fast with a few 40-50 watt sessions but that is expected, at 1.2 ohm build you can get just about everything you want out of your vape long battery life at low watts and clouds at high watts.
The Negatives. Ill start with the touch sensor. I like it but at the same time I have had a big issue with it. Be warned if you fire it with your RDA cap off and
juice hits the sensor it will continue to fire until you wipe it off, if you have greasy fingers it may also continue to fire after releasing ( a chef friend of mine had this problem ), The screen is almost impossible to see in the sunlight when it is dimmed ( which is always unless you have buttons depressed ), I absolutely hate the screw in the 510 adapter (it would be so much better with the spring loaded one in the DNA 30, I may be replacing it myself) (also have had one person have the screw strip out and it wasn't the screw but the female end so we had to re-tap it), it should absolutely have 4 screws in the back plate because you can see gaps in the corners when you have it tightened up ( but at the same time I like only taking out 2 screws to change the battery ). I have seen moisture on the inside of the battery compartment due to this, the actual display is not quite up to par with evolv dna chip (it just looks kind of Atari-ish) but who cares because it performs like a champ!
Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I will be putting it on the shelves to sell to others. At this price range I truly believe you get everything you pay for and a bit more. For some of its short comings it is still a huge game changer for dropping the price in the VV/VW market. If the touch sensor was not able to be shut off this review would have been much different. I love the touch sensor for my Kayfun's and any
tank set up but with drippers its defiantly shut off. I am excited to see what is next from YiHi. The last thing to say is I hope the IPV2 holds up over time but that is yet to be seen.
