In other words, is it bad to vape too much? I've heard thread after thread that people vape all day. Is that bad? I know you're not inhaling the tabacco and chemicals from analogs but still, you are inhaling a large amount of nicotine, no? Just want some opinions or advice because I try not to vape that much because I feel it may be bad for my health, though I would if it is safe! lol :)

Well, there's always nicotine O.D. but you'll know when THAT'S happening..same as smoking too much. You'll get nauseous, etc.

Other than nic OD, the only symptom I've really heard people complaining about is sore throat, dry skin, etc. ALWAYS make sure you drink A LOT of fluids when you first start out.

When you find a liquid you REALLY like, order it at a lower dosage that what you're used to.

Yeah, I think you're smart to ask this question. And I think that we can vape too much. No one at this point can state with any certainty that vaping is not harmful to some extent, so I think we'd be smart to just not overdo it...just in case. Some of the effects are documented all over this board, and I wish someone knew what vaping does to the lungs. Because it's surely not as damaging as smoking, just do it in moderation would be my advice. Just as lots of smoking is worse than less smoking, probably less vaping is better than lots of it. :)

I know I'm vaping too much when I start feeling a little queasy.

You're body will tell you when to back off. If you want to vape all day get some low mg liquid like 6 or 8mg or less... However I find that if I vape anything less than 12 I'm hitting my PV constantly trying to get that nic rush... so you don't want to fall into that trap either.

Just drink extra water because PG and Nicotine can dehydrate you and pay attention to what your body tells you and try not to over do it. Moderation I guess you could call it.

domino38, I can't count the vapers my little puppy has already eaten up! I told him to give you a break because you're trying so hard to vape in moderation. Thank goodness, he finally backed off. Whew....that was a close one! :D

P.S. He's really not half as vicious as he looks!

Whew is RIGHT!! 8-o

Thank God you were able to rein him in in time!!

If you consider the amount of lactic acid that builds up in your system then the answer is possibly we can vape too much. PG is implicated in renal (kidney) failure. Whether that's due to PG itself or due to the amount of lactic acid that accumulates I don't know. There isn't a lot of information out there.

The second week I vaped I noticed I felt sore. TBH, I'm vaping alot. If I'm not doing anything, I'm vaping. I assume it was due to lactic acid build up. I made a glass of water with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) mixed in. The soreness went away within half an hour. Athletes "dope" using sodium bicarbonate to reduce the build up of lactic acid in their muscles to increase their endurance. Might be a good idea for us to do that same. Many people advocate a 1/4 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate per day with a full glass of water for many of it's reported beneficial effects. If you do it, just be sure not to go overboard. You can put yourself in alkalosis (the opposite of acidosis).

You can test your urine's acidity using pH test strips you can purchase in health food stores. It won't indicate your blood's pH but, it should give you an idea of when you're acidic and when you're alkaline. Drinking sodium bicarbonate will notably change your urine's acidity. So you can assume that you're changing the acidity of liquids filtering through your kidney's which is probably a good thing.

This is something to think about and the reason I'll say yes you can vape too much. PG is broken down in to lactic acid and then eliminated from the body. Physicians refer to an abundance of lactic acid as lactic acidosis which can be very hard on your organs and cause severe symptoms.
