I'll handle this tj...
The Mako is a mechanical mod created solely for the Prince of Dubai. TJ acquired it in an estate sale. There's only one and it was forged from the steel remnants from the Sword Excalibur. The copper accents were scraped from the Statue of Liberty ... The upper lip, if I'm not mistaken. It is truly a one of a kind. We are entertaining offers no lower than $250,000.

That's because you haven't been around long enough. The mako came out in 2008, The Don in 2011.
Mako Maksi V3 - Moju Republic

Thank you for the info. I like the price as well. I just ordered V3 in black anodized. It looks like a great mod at a very reasonable price. I will definitely find out for myself. I did not know that there were mods made in the UK. I thought that the majority of them came from the Philippines, at least the ones I have been buying. I really like RJ Mods that come out of South Korea. If you are looking for a 26550 mod, their Fortune of the Four Gods is a really nice mod.

Why the insult sir? How did I offend you to compel you to make such a ridiculous remark?

Yes, I would part with it for that price

BTW, that's the PV that fell out of my duck blind, and spent a week in the mud at the bottom of Ogden Bay. (my dog found it for me)
    So it has been "Blunderized"

What is a PV? As for rare ones, I have a one of kind Viggo (Vapejam) that actually belonged to the original mod maker. I paid $700.00 (including the Vapejam RDA and drip tip) for it and it is the most money I have ever paid for one, though I did offer a guy a $1000.00 for a first run Slug last week. I paid $305 Euro for the last Enigma to ever be made (0060) but for the most part, the mods I have bought have all been in the $200.00 to $300.00 range.

Tyger....my post wasn't meant to sound insulting at all. Sorry if you took it that way.

I wasn't sure, that is why I worded it the way I did. Thank you for the clarification. I have read a lot of remarks on this thread that appeared to be insulting but you never know when your conveying messages on a thread verses talking in person.

Can't lie, I'm a little jelly, and I thought your initial post was just an attempt to get a rise out of members, but it appears you are actually knowledgeable and the pictures more or less prove your collection. I wouldn't mind seeing more, really.

The amount of mods you own is astounding.

So here's another question, for me, a big part of quitting cigarettes in exchange for vaping is the sheer fact that I can say, "Look at how much money I've saved." In the year and some months I have been vaping, I've spent about $1000 on vape equipment (including juice, devices, etc.) At 2 packs a day, I'd have spent about $5000 (New Jersey cigarette prices are rough). For you, though, it's clearly not about that. So why? Why SO much equipment? I have about 6 mods, and I only really use 2 of them. The rest sort of collect dust as "backups".

You have made a great point. I quit because my wife got tired of chewing tobacco in our sheets and because my first wife died at 57 years old of a stroke in February of this year. I was smoking three packs of Marboro menthols a day and probably was headed to a stroke of my own. I only use about four of my mods as well. I really like my Chi Megan, which was my first and I often vape my Steampunk but for the most part, I toke on my Hexohm and an MVC Overdose the majority of the time.

I can't really say what got in to me about buying so many mods. A lot of it came down to trying to help an acquaintance of mine who is having a hard time in keeping the doors open to his new vape shop. My first 15 mods and about 20 Tugboats came from him. Then I started trying to build feedback for my old ladies eBay account and I started purchasing some clone RDA's to see how they compared, ran in to a couple of guys in Florida and Hawaii who are in to the authentic mod business who sold me some really nice mods and hooked me up with several Filipino mod makers who sold me a bunch more. Than one night I was at my friends shop and made the remark that I thought I had a second to none collection, only to have him tell me about the Slug mod and a guys collection in Houston.

So he hooked me up with the guy in Houston and I drove over to see his collection. While I was there, him and his wife told me that their infant desperately needed an operation. Looking at the sick child, I felt really charitable so I offered him $25,000 for his collection. He was in tears as him and his wife packed it up so I took her aside and asked her which one meant the most to him. She immediately told me it was the Slug, so I left that one with him and gave her another check for $25,000 so that they could get their baby whatever she needed.

Then on trip to Alabama, I stopped in to a mod shop to get some juice because I spilled my Sucker Punch all over the floor of my Ferarri while racing a cop in Alabama (he had one of new Dodge Challengers with the police interceptor package) and learned from the owner he was going to be closing his doors. I asked him how much he wanted for all of his inventory thinking I could help my struggling friend here and ended up buiying out his shop inventory for $87,000.

I have mellowed out recently after buying two mods that have been eluding me since I went off the deep end buying these things, and I am now just waiting on a preorder of three of the new copper slugs and a the shipment of the last Enigma to arrive. I don't think I will be buying any more mods for some time to come, though the more I toke on the Fortune of the Four Gods mod and use the new Vulcan RDA, I am thinking about buying the whole company that makes them because I would like to take some of my own ideas and bring them in to fruition. Whether I make a buck at it or not, is not as important to me as seeing what I could come up on my own.

I am not familiar with any multimeters that will give you an accurate reading past .1Ω and I have not built a circuit to try and compensate for it. I have a couple of good multimeters and some decent devices that were made for checking ohm readings on RDA's. When I go below .3, I use two of three of them to compare readings and try to come up with a mean to give me a fairly close idea where I am at.

I use an Extech 380460... It's a very accurate milliohm meter. What I believe he was refering to is a simple voltage divider. You can put the coil in series with a known resistance and measure the voltage drop between the two. A quick calculation will give you the resistance accurate to the milliohm. The extech is easier though! :)

Not to speak for anyone else, but the negative remarks might be coming from the fact that some people earn their "place" in the community through a long time of listening, learning, then spending more time helping and explaining with new/unique information or insights. Others simply buy their place in the community and then speak from a place of authority, which is bound to upset some people.

Owning a bunch of equipment and having numbers and email addresses of vape companies on your phone doesn't make you an expert. I'd question with hundreds of mods and hundreds of drippers in such a small period of time there is absolutely no way you've been able to give them the dedicated time it requires to totally learn it's ins and outs. You've been building coils for a short time period yet speak as an expert on the matter.

I'm not attacking you here at all, just explaining what seems to be the source of people's negative comments. People have been doing this stuff for years around here and have delved far, far deeper into this stuff than your OP does. While your goal may have been to simply help people, it probably didn't come off that way, as the posts have been around 20% repeated/common sub-ohm info and the other 80% a list of products you own.

Wow let me be the first to say, WOW. Kind of at a loss for words.

Someone should make a meme for, "SPILLS E-JUICE ALL OVER INTERIOR OF FERRARI. THINKS, 'OH NO MY JUICE!'"

    ETA: Okay, regained consciousness.

Wow man, you're a really kind-hearted individual. It's good to know that someone with a nice bankroll is actually out there helping out people who need it.

Beyond that, if I ever make it down south I gotta come check out your collection. It sounds totally insane.

My every-day vape is a Hexohm-style box mod (I love the 2x 18650 battery life, it's perfect for a full day of vaping). It was custom-made from a Hammond box, and it has a very personal place in my heart. It was $250, but worth every penny. In buying it I was supporting a friend and a fellow vaper, a really nice dude. If I had the money, I'd shell it out for a Variant. Have you looked into getting that?.. do you already have one..

This, kind of. I honestly couldn't care less about what mods you own, or how much you've spent. If you've got the money, do with it what you want.

You seem to be parroting some information without fully understanding it. If you've had good mentors, great, but if you're going to try to teach others you need more than the cliff's notes version of understanding. I only commented on the 90 day battery purge, because there was absolutely no reason given, other than you were told to do that. There are plenty of other possible issues with the advice you gave in your OP, but others have and will comment on that.
