since I started vaping the taste and smell of cigarettes is disgusting to me in a way I never thought would be possible..

I have only been completely cig free for a month so far, but vaping for 8 months I need the Nic and I still love the smell of someone smoking a cig. Guess I am not over the hurdle yet but I am working on it.

Well... when I smoked I was addicted to many things (thanks for the chemical gumbo, BT). With vaping, I feel I am dependant on only two - nicotine and the physical act of inhaling/exhaling vapor.

Of the two, the latter is far and away the stronger draw (if you pardon the pun).

My nic is down to 3mg for the most part and I think that it's a crutch - more a psychological dependance than a physical one. I bought into this scene thinking that the nic was the active ingredient that would get me off the cigarettes and I think I'm hanging on to that unconsciously. I have every reason to believe that I could/will be nic free. Now, the inhale/exhale thing...... that's another story.

That's so true...!

For me too, the behavioral side of vaping it the most important. That, and a decent TH.

I have easily cut nicotine from 18mg to 9mg overnight, after switching to RTA's and mods. The added vapor production can still give me that TH with much less nicotine, and I did not really vaped more because of any nicotine "withdrawal".

Also, I have done some experiments with non-nic DIY, and I feel I could use it permanently, if it was not for that muted TH... :(

I am now at aroung 6mg... and thinking about trying BitExtra to stop using nic for good. That would be a good thing - Portugal is finally trying to tax liquids with nicotine. At 60 cents/ml, a 10ml bottle's price would raise from 4 Eur to 10...

(I have NOT paid anything yet: just kept ordering online from abroad, as usual. Whole 100ml bottles. 3 or 4 of them on each order. Our greedy politicians could be at least receiving VAT from my own coutry. As it is, they are losing BOTH the VAT and the new "tobacco" tax. On top of that, VAT is lower in other countries, anyway... :D )

The same for me. Once (after a glass of bourbon) I felt I can go without bourbon for a month. Or more. Sure, I could do it if not for muted taste of a steak (the one I had for dinner). Half a glass of bourbon fixed it. But I do know I can survive without bourbon for a while. I just feel so.

The "addicted to vapor" and the act of inhaling thing bothers me.

I vape 3mg nic but a whole lot of it... if the climate is warm, anything over 75 degrees, I can easily break out in a sweat if I take more than a 3mg nic vape, and I like to chain vape (possibly due to the above*)

I occasionally get some lung congestion and bronchitis and I think the repetitive vaping has something to do with it.

So in my case i was thinking about upping my nic to 5 or 6mg, and vaping less... but then i would find that the *real addiction is to the act of vaping...?

actually its a double whammy

I am addicted to nicotine. If i dont vape i get the shakes on my hands. The first vape in the morning is the same it was with cigarettes.
The funny thing is i quit smoking 10 years ago . Quitting almost killed me . Gained 15 kgs Started again 2 years ago. Discovered vaping 1year ago.
İ started with 24 mg , still using the same. Below 18mg i feel nothing.
