hey i need to clean my atty and i was gonna try the coke method but i only have pepsi. it gotta be the same thing right>?? and how long do i let it soak?
is Pepsi the same thing as Coke when it comes to cleaning your atty??

Pretty much---Pepsi has a little higher phosporic acid content. I works for some and others report a no go.

I have not cleaned my atomizers in over a month. I just replace the filler in the cartridge. I have not had even one to go bad yet.
I'd suggest neither if you want them to last. Do nothing more than an acolhol rise and dry.
Heck, I'd only even do an alcohol rinse if blowing it out didn't work.
Do not soak atomizers, that kills them.
Blow them out (from both ends) into a paper towel. If that doesn't work a quick rinse with warm water, then let them dry.
When go to use them again, direct drip 2-4 drops (depending on atty type) to prime it back up.

I seldom clean my attys, but when I do, I use Grain Alcohol and Pepsi.
1) Pour the Grain Alcohol in a small bottle, and drop the attys in.
2) Drink the Pepsi.
3) Remove the attys and gently blow dry after 24 hrs.

I like Jim's cleaning solution.
But one thing I need clarification on...do you drink the Pepsi and the grain alcohol separately or do you mix them together after soaking the atty's.
While I'm sure the GA does a good job of cleaning the atty's(should kill anything that ails ya) it would be considered alcohol abuse to just toss it.
Also is it better to use a single shot or a double?

I use the Scotch & Water approach.
1) Put the scotch in a glass.
2) Blow out my attys into a paper towel.
3) Drink the scotch.
4) Wash out the glass with water.
Works like a charm.
