Just want to know all of you opinions on this build.

I seen this guy on YouTube yesterday blowing HUGE clouds of vapor. Today he made a Video showing his build. Its...

24 Gauge Kenthal rap micro coil

Orange MMKE High Drain Battery

rda: "New" Patriot Atomizer

5/32 air Holes

device: Sentinal

OHM's : .2 ohms

Now he is using 24 gauge wire, but then again he is vaping at .2 ohms. First off, how safe is this, really? Yes it's down to 2 ohms, but with a battery like the SONYus18650vtc 30A I personally don't see the problem, the math works out just fine. And if this is safe, why isn't anyone selling anything lower then 28 gauge (other then on Ebay)?
I would like your opinions on this, because I'm about to order some 24 gauge and would like to hear what others think first before taking the plunge.

Performance Videos are 1st 3, set-up explanation last video...

I was wondering what happened to Ralphie from A Christmas Story!

I'm glad he didn't succumb to the soap poisoning.

Ignore this he said .2 ohms not 2 as I thought. Not a problem. I have not used that heavy a wire yet. I do use 30 when I do that. But if you do a big micro coil I guess you would have to or the ohms would get a bit high. At that resistance assuming 4.2 volts your producing 8.82 watts at 2.1 amps. Don't know where you are in your electronics understanding so I will give you my electronics 101 lesson. Watts = work or power, Volts = Pressure just like with water, Amps = Current flow like with water and gallons per hour, Resistance is like the size of the pipe or hose. I have a spread sheet that will do the calculations for you on wattage all you have to do is fill in voltage and resistance. Or if you want to calculate the resistance needed for a wattage Desired wattage and Voltage and it will tell you the resistance you want. In this doc is stuff like DIY juice stuff, Wattage charts for dual and single coils and calculators for same. Resistance wire length calculator also. Here it is. OH only the white fields can be changed.View attachment ecig calculators.xlsx
Hope this helps. PM me if you need any help.

As I understand it, it is as much about liquid delivery to the coil as it is the wattage that you heat it with. Get a great wicking system (cotton, stainless rope, etc) and if you have sufficient wattage, you'll get a mess of vapor, if that is what you are looking for. Watch the current flow to make sure that you aren't overloading the battery and you should be safe. Fuse? Biggest clouds that I see are typically on dripping rebuildables. JMHO.

IMO, the safety of this setup all depends on the experience and knowledge of the user.

Yes, the math works out, but it's not black and white. How much wiggle room is there? How much is needed for safety? How safe do you want to be to consider it safe enough for you?

Personally I would be happier with the Sony battery at 30A. Heck, I have a couple of them and a couple of MNKE's for my 0.6 ohm setups. I consider that safe enough for me, but some people don't consider it safe enough for them.

For the wire gauge, keep in mind that micro coils typically use more length of wire than regular coils, so to get the resistance down you need to go thicker.

There's also a ton if info in the RBA forum here.

BAH just skip that wimpy 24 gauge garbage and his tiny little clouds. You should just get the suspension coil from a truck, stuff it with a pair of jeans for cotton wicking, wire that bad boy up to a 220V plug, and get you a 5gal bucket for a tank. NOW you can make some clouds!

Seriously though....Safety NOT Guaranteed.

My question is what are you trying to accomplish?

Is there a Maximum Vape Competition coming up in your area?
Are you planning on pissing people in the local Restaurant?

Seriously, what is the point?

Bragging rights are only good until the next person comes along and knocks you off the top.

Chasing clouds. Some of us like that, a male ego thing, who got the bigger one (Clouds I'm talking about! ;) ).
