The short answer is no. Worst case scenario is draconian regulations proposed some time next month. I find that unlikely but let's assume that happens. There will be a commentary period until summer. Then if the new regulations are that bad they will stand to put thousands of companies out of business. This opens the way for litigation with an injunction similar to the case we won last time. Except that this time there are MUCH bigger players involved then njoy and SE. Lorillard alone, has deep enough pockets to tie this up in court for 3-4 years. Throw in a couple of the big boys operating right here on ECF, then consider the possibility of the rest of us small frys joining together and we have a FORMIDABLE group of companies that can challenge this legally. Remember at the end of the day right is on our side. It's probably also worth mentioning that the last public commentary got something like 7k responses and those were about 99% positive. Those have to be legally disclosed to congress and will play a star role in any court preceding. I'm bettin' the farm that our industry is here to stay.

Mac hits the nail on the head. His predictions are exactly the same as mine. That's not going to stop me from stocking up DIY gear.

I don't believe it will all vanish.

I believe that there is the possibility that nicotine doses will be limited to 4mg to be on par with pharmaceutical NRT products.
I believe that there is the possibility that it will become available only in prefilled, prepackaged versions.
I believe that there is the possibility that it will be so heavily taxed that the "break even" signature banners will vanish. Saving money vaping versus smoking is a secondary but still very attractive element of vaping - for those amongst us who aren't compulse mod acquirers, anyway.

I have been preparing for months. I have one mechanical mod, expecting a second sometime next month. I have four vivi nova tanks and 20 heads I can rebuild. I have two protanks and 15 heads incoming (which I will also probably be able to rebuild). I have three RBAs, two Genesis style atties. 200 feet of kanthal, 30 of wick. I have 1400ml of 100mg nicotine base in the freezer. I have 250ml of juice mixed and ready for vaping. I have enough mixing hardware and safety supplies to outfit the Occupational Science building of my school. The last three things on my list are an IGO-L, an Odysseus clone, and a pair of kicks, but I won't be heartbroken if I don't get them.

I believe that we as a community, that the vendors and that CASAA and the juggernaut companies that have thrown into the vaping scene have the clout to fight back against this. But it may take time. I don't intend to be put on the spot and potentially forced to choose once more to light a cigarette.

I'm hoping for the best but I am prepared for the worst. I am ready.

Come at me, bro.
