is vaping really an "epidemic" among teens?

The only reason vapers are blaming other vapers is because divide an conquer is still a thing. If the government can get the MTL at the DL vapers, the parents against the teens, it's all one big crowd of infighting and the government can do what it wants.

There is ZERO reason to say cloud chasers are ruining it for the rest of us, nor is it correct to say it is stealth vaping, out of control teens, vendors who on purpose (well, that's not smart) or unknowingly sell to teens adult vapers who teens steal setups from in order to vape, etc.

The only thing to blame is vaping ITSELF, a harm reduction method SO Effective and SUCH a growing market, that it is threatening tobacco. Would we all like to TAKE A MOMENT and reflect on HOW AWESOME vaping is?????????????????

Okay, now go blame the right person YOUR GOVERMENT who has relentlessly lied, threatened, promised, lied, divided and conquered and is now in an all out ALL HOLDS BARRED attack on vaping because it would wipe smoking on the face of the earth.

Blame you elected representatives, write them heck go SEE them (I am considering it) and stop wasting time on pointless infighting.

There is NO SPECIAL way to vape IN WHICH the government will leave it alone. There is no magic formula, NOTHING.

Do not be deceived ,do not be divided and STAND UP FOR VAPING EVERY LAST PUFF OF IT.

Do not apologize, no vaper has ANYTHING to apologize for other than trying to be healthy and productive which are NOBLE goals. Unlike the government's agenda which is as far from noble as you can get.

So why can’t the community just accept that there are multiple ways to enjoy vaping whether you are chasing clouds, sucking on a small plastic stick or swinging it old school with a MTL rig. Seems a bit selfish if you ask me especially when the goal is to quit smoking. Personally it’s attitudes like this that give vaping a bad image. You don’t like chasing clouds, then don’t do it. But be thankful that those who do chase clouds are contributing financially to an industry that you enjoy.

Now I’ll ask, why are cloud chasers destroying vaping’s reputation?
Not defending that poster's opinion, but some cloudchasers are rude and blow lots of vapor in a small public place. Not unlike some smokers are rude and blow a lot of smoke in a small public place. All people who smoke or vape should be considerate of others. But as we know, not all people are considerate of others. Not everyone appreciates having to breathe all of that smoke or vapor.

I tend to not visit vape shops where cloud chasers are known to hang out, and I used to work in a vape shop. I find the experience to be quite unpleasant.

Some tootlers are rude and try to stealth their way through a cinema session or a flight, thinking nobody will notice. It's not the vaping style that's wrong, it's individuals with entitled attitudes. The guy blowing a giant cloud right into a stroller is a massive knob, not a representative of DL vaping.

Let's not forget none of this is why vaping is currently on the chopping block...

Thanks. The question wasn’t directed at you. Just bundled in the same post as my response to your answer. But your response is, as always, appreciated

There will always be someone who is inconsiderate. It’s human nature! But it is not fair to paint a group or genre (of vapers in this case) with the same brush. Would be more beneficial for us as vapers to put aside our stereotypical attitudes and unite (fist in the air!!)

Guilty as charged. :thumb:

However, I do take steps to be considerate and discrete on the rare occasions I do. I only go to the cinema when I know there will be a smaller crowd. I sit in the back row all by myself. I don't begin to vape until the lights go out and the movie has started. I use a small ecig that makes very little vapor, and I double inhale so no vapor is exhaled.

What no one sees, it never happened. Entitled attitude? I guess you could say that. ;) IMHO, it's a far cry from what I was describing before when people are inconsiderate of others.

Boy, I'd give anything to be a fly on the wall in that meeting. :)

There's a difference between thinking you're not being seen or making sure not to be seen. Some aren't really "sneaky" or don't really care. Like those kids in class that thought the teacher couldn't see what they were doing ^^

2018. Some people still think it's DL that gives vaping a bad image. Just when the FDA is going after "juuling". Hopeless. Go have a think.
The only thing that I ponder is , how far will the cloud chasing go? I personally don't care what way you vape as long as it's done with consideration but in just a few years we went from 20 watts to like 300 watts, so what's it going to be like in 3 years from now? Will it get to a point where literally one puff can blind an entire room? Like if someone was trying to get away with a crime, they can just blow one big cloud? Or will there be a vaping backpack, where you can literally vape breathe every breath? I see a future of vape zombies. ...maybe it will level out soon, but I see 1000 watt mods in the next couple years which would be out of hand.

Do people actually vape at 300 watts or is that just a bye product of the industry trying to out do their competition. Have to be careful at who or what we are pointing the finger at. I have a 300 watt mod – can bareley vape at 80 watts so to a blind eye 300 watts seems like a waste. But its battery life is phenomenal and worth every one of those 300 watts. I have yet to meet or even see a vaper take more than 150 watts on a regular basis (some take more as a demonstration).

I consider myself to be between slightly restricted and fully open. I vape between 30W and 50W (single coils lower, dual coils higher). Why somebody would need a constant 300W output... dunnoh, he's probably trying to vape his plumbing. In any case that's not the power range for everyday vapers. At some point you can always have the same vapor output with a less massive lower power build.

Evolv has support for very high wattage but that's because of replay (it apparently works the most consistent when it has lots of headroom), they say themselves they tried to vape at 400W and it wasn't enjoyable

The numbers are just marketing. Like with cars, who cares if it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds in a city? You're going to lose your license and be driving a kickbike in no time.

This hasn't happened since I started back on October 1st 2013... not in the face of TPD and now the FDA.

But it doesn’t have to be like that. I fail to see why we need to point the finger at each other where the real threat is not from ourselves, but the agencies who want to destroy something they do not understand. Again, unite!! (group hug!!)

Oh, I believe they understand all too well. They understand that vaping hurts their sugar daddies, Big Tobacco and Big Pharma. The flavors and children arguments are just a ruse.
