I have only been vaping for three months now and I do enjoy it, especially the great flavors. I actually sometimes vape vanilla or hazelnut instead of a snack and it is a good way for me to stay on my Weight Watchers plan.

That said, I would like to be "habit free" someday and only vape when I want to not because I have to in order to avoid a cigarette. I am going on a vacation in two months that involves a lot of flying and I am hoping that by then I could go without worrying about traveling with batteries and charges and juices and coils, etc. The main thing I hated about cigarettes was the feeling that I couldn't last a day without them. I don't want to have the same feeling about vaping and I am hoping I am right.

Welcome to ECF. I don't plan on it. I quite enjoy vaping and the community of vapers that I am a part of. I went from Ego's to regulated mods to mech mod sub ohming. With the amount of money I have put into it I will probably vape forever. I usually vape at 6-12 mg nic and will prob stay at this level. I have friends who use them to quit and more power to them but I prefer to continue this fun and satisfying hobby.

If you read about the benefits of nicotine it becomes hard to want to quit. It supposedly warns off Alzheimer's

Not to mention diabetes... And supposedly helps regen blood vessels and brain cells... The studies are pretty interesting.

I am just SO happy I quit smoking. Tried and couldn't do it in the past. I have no plans to quit vaping. I never intentionally have lowered nicotine. Just listen to my body and when if feels like it's too much, reduce the nicotine. In the past when I lowered nicotine, I vaped more. No point in that- for me.

I have enough nic. in my freezer that I'll be happily vaping for years.

That sounds like my goal. I have stepped down my nic now to 6mg from 18mg a little over a year ago. I can pretty much go on errands all day now w/out craving a vape.

I am happy to be off cigarettes, but I want the real freedom of not being chained to vape gear either. :) It's still $$ spent on a habit, and I would rather get a gym or pool membership with that money, which would be a better *habit* for me.

not planning on quitting vaping for a reason i never would have imagined when i started. i have found i really ENJOY helping others quit smoking. i used to stealth vape in public because i was afraid people might mistake it for some illegal substance LOL! now i use my full sized mods proudly. never fails outside restaurants and the grocery store... someone wants info on breaking the smoking habit and i am never too busy to help them. i am also managing a co-op for my little inner circle of vapers. DIY liquids and building my own coils all give me something positive to do unlike analogs where the only satisfaction i got was a flavor i had trained myself to like.

so while i would happily support someone breaking any habit i don't see it happening for me as long as i can feel useful doing my bit to stamp out analog cigs.

Of course I plan to quit vaping. It won't be long when big tobacco and taxes become the norm for vaping. As it stands now I know vaping is less harmless then cigarettes but I have no clue as to the purity of the e juice or if the nicotine level is what I ordered. I do know nicotine isn't good for anyone with a heart disorder. So yes I will stop vaping.
