Hey everyone I just got my new Vision Deux yesterday and using it on and off since. It arrived in good condition with no cracks in the tube. The wicks inside looked a little wet with primer so I gave it a couple quick burns but no bad taste. So I loaded it up with some juice which is a 60PG/40VG and used it on my standard eGo battery for about an hour pretty steady.

I am getting pretty good cool vapor but very little flavor. At first I thought it must not be wicking very well but not noticing any dry or burnt taste. Just hardy any taste at all. I changed to another juice that is 70PG/30VG and it is still the same with hardy no flavor. It almost acting like not enough juice is making it's way up the wicks to the coil. Is that possible?

Do you think I need to raise the inside rubber piece? Could it be pressing down on the wicks too much?

Also I notice the vapor is cool, not warm and as I said I am using on a regular eGo 650mah battery. Is that normal for these with a top coil?

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hmmm... I vape mine on an ego all the time and the vapor is by no means cool for me. It may be that your resistance happens to be a little on the high side. Mine is only slightly cooler than a ce2. If you are going from a LR atomizer it will probably be a cooler vape for you. If you have used ce2's before, it should be similar to a 2.6-2.8ohm ce2. As for the flavor, that too is not muted for me. I do pull the plug up a bit. It is easy to do and the mouthpiece will push it down to the proper height. I would try that and let us know if it has an effect. I get very good flavor flavor with these. On par with a ce2 but even cleaner. Good luck.

Hi there, got some vision deux two days ago, filled one up and put on an e go and gave it to my girlfriend who vapes moderately. Over the period of two days she started getting a burnt taste out of it. I was going to refill it and took of the mouthpiece, blew it out and a good amount of BLACK liquid came out of it. The juice that was consumed is light amber colored (BWB malty toffee) and the entire cartridge smelled burnt. It altered the color of the remaining juice to dark brown. There was about a half mil of juice left before I was going to refill it and the whole thing smelled and tasted like an electrical fire. Needless to say I did not refill and put it aside for now. Was wondering what caused this. I got the visions for her because she is concerned about burning filler in carto's. Now I don't know what to do for her. Was wondering if any body else had this problem.

Well when juice especially darker juice is exposed to heat over time it will darken. This happens in any carto. The vision has a lot more juice and it is easy to see. The mouthpiece collects juice in it over time. So that juice has been sitting in there for two days near the hot coil. If you were to leave the vision or any carto in a hot car for a day, it would all be dark or even close to black. This will happen with those toffee juices, coffee, and other dark juices. Some flavors even if the color doesn't seem too dark will darken right up. They don't even need to be hot. Just sitting around on your table they can darken over a couple weeks. The dark juice at the top will also mix with the juice in the tank darkening it as well. If you had used a clear type carto before you would have seen this effect. Filler cartos are no different, they just hide it better. I recommend you pull the center plug out and rinse the vision, and either let dry, or dry burn it. Then when you put the plug back in line up the slits and just use the mouthpiece to push it into position. This will leave more room at the wicks and improve wicking. If the coil is kept wet there won't be any burned taste, and the coil won't gunk up near as fast. I wouldn't worry about the dark liquid. If you use dark juice this will happen every time regardless of which carto you use. The vision has to be filled less often so thats just more time to darken up, and the less fresh juice added. The burned smell is just from running it with a dry coil. Try clear juice, even it will darken slightly after a while. I don't use dark liquids because of this.

Next time your girlfriend uses a filler carto with this juice, after a while blow through it into a paper towel. You will get that same black liquid coming out.

yeah true half2doit, certain juices do exactly that but what he was saying was so extreme i didnt think the juice was the culprit but you might be just right

I'm thinking this was the first time he or his girlfriend have used a clear cartomizer. I would think something was wrong too if I hadn't seen it before.

Well my first visions went today. Well that's not fair to say that. The damn wick fell apart(lately the coils have outlasted the wicks on every ce2 based carto for me). I got about a week and that's nice but with the price of these being well over that if an atomizer and many times that of a XL ce2 I expected longer life. So as it stands the wicks are the weakest link :-/. Don't get me wrong I know the wicks are fragile but after a dry burn or 2 they seem to just fall apart. I wish it was made of actual silica strands instead of strands made of microfibers.

got mine and it started cracking sent an email and was told they could send a replacement tube only if i ordered something not real good customer service.why would i order something else when the thing i did order is starting to fall apart.

Yea that's pretty lame.

I mean the product works well just can't afford 9 bucks every week because the wick decides to fall apart. If these were priced more affordably like the clearomizers it would be different, since they seem to be just as dispensable.

Not wanting to start a fight here or anything, but what are you doing that would cause them to fall apart like that?
I have 1 Vision 1 that has been used for about 2 weeks and the wicks are still fine. I even have about 3 CE2's that have been going on nearly 2 months now that are still great, I even clean them once a week.

I wash them out then dry burn them. Then after a bit they seem to just start separating where the wick enters the ceramic cup, strand by strand until its completely detatched(usually can get another day out of them once I notice its coming apart.)I may try ptb modding the other one but I just wish the wicks were less fragile.

Thaaank you. Now to figure out how long I stop tasting nothing (VG) and my OMG juice kicks in.

After you move that plug up a little you should see an instant change. I have been a ce2 user for a long long time, and now I use the vision exclusively. That's a big deal to me. That's after trying everything that comes out for over a year. Love these things. I just need some eco glue and the last little issue will be solved and I'll be perfectly content.

Vision first impressions and a question

Somehow managed to flood my Vision Deux when filling it, but after blowing it out and taking a few slow puffs that's history. Since CE2s are my current preference, I have a CE2 beside it freshly filled with the same juice so I can compare. The flavor is maybe slightly better with the CE2 but it's pretty much negligible. Seems like it works better to draw slower on the V2 but the amount of vapor is very similar. All in all, I'm really happy with it after going through about a third of a tank. For the juices that I vape a lot of, this looks like it might well replace CE2s since it will cut down on refilling. I like the way it looks altogether, too, especially with the sleeve. Count me as a satisfied customer.

Question: I was going to pull off the cracked tube on this one and replace it, but it's really resistant. Having suffered my use of brute force in the past, I don't want to resort to muscle unless that's what's called for. Is the tube glued on? Should I soak it in hot water first? Or just be man and force it off?

I do not presume to know what you are using but if you are not using distilled water or maybe pga the minerals in anything else will eventually make your wick brittle.

My first vision tube cracked more then a months use in. (I hit the door jam rounding the hall, 2 crack at top and 2 lower opposite side) Ce2 itself still works so I grabed a 5ml BD syringe that the pharmacist just hands you if you ask (nice to give a kid oral meds with). and a #10 o ring from lowes.
Replace the clear o ring at base with the hardware stores cut syringe to size of tube.
Then yes "man handle" the part together. No glue and working wonderfully, no leaks. Rubber cup fits in on top too.
I will note the vision tip is loose in the syringe but if you fit a carto condom on it and trim it's a nice tight fit. Or a small rubber band for a seal? One hay of a sturdy unit now. Also can't use my cool vision cone with it, syringe to thick.
