iTaste MVP - The good, the bad, and the ugly. Give it to me.

Each e-cig I've used has had it's quirks. sigelei, Zmax, Spinner, Bombshell, Lavatube... You name it, I've used it or a variation of it. I really like the iTaste, I like the way it feels and the way it looks. What's bad about it? The good? What would you change? For $55 it's really not a bad price at all. So, lemme know what you know about it and what's good and bad about it!

The bad: no ego threading so need an ego adapter to use a kanger. Also sometimes I would hit the fire button too many times while vaping and turn it off. Other than that the sucker is bulletproof.

Um, my MVP has ego threading. I have heard something about the length / height of the threading being "off" for the Kanger, but haven't a Kanger to try with. Works fine with various CE5 and clones, cartos, Nanos, and Artemas tanks.

Heh, I've had the inadvertent turning off as well

I'd like to see a slightly raised rectangle around the fire button, to help find it in the dark. And adding an ohm checker would be a nice touch, too.

But a really solid box, lasts a long time with it's 2600 mAh battery. Imo, if you like boxes, you'll like the MVP.

Yours has 510 threading but not ego threading. The itaste also has that outer thread but only that ring adapter fits on it.

The new version has ego-threading on it. It has the ring threading on the bottom then ego-threading then 510.

The unit is one of my favs it has long battery life and is simple to use. The bad is it is not full range and no ohm checker

I've had mine for about three days, and really like it. Battery life is amazing! I've been vaping heavy for two full days, plus about three hours this morning, and still showing green light! (Yellow indicating low charge, Red indicating you better charge this sucker fast)

My biggest complaint is no ohm reading! I have to remove my tank from the MVP, and put it on my Gripper, or some other device, if I want/need to know what ohm it's at.

I'd also like to know how much charge is left! Again, comparing it to the less expensive Gripper, the Gripper shows me 4.1, 3.8, 3.4... whatever volts remain in the battery!

I'm going to a basketball game tonight. I'd like to continue to see just how long the MVP lasts me, and not recharge before the game if it still indicates green, but I could leave the house for the game and the MVP shows a green light, and ten minutes into my drive to the game, it suddenly shows me yellow! 30 minutes later (I honestly don't know how quickly it goes from yellow to red) it may show red, and suddenly, I'm away from home with hours until I return, with a dead PV.

NOT a big deal, as I guess I'll just recharge each night.

Also wish it had full range of voltage, from 3.0 to 6.0, but again, not a deal breaker. I generally vape at 4.4-4.7.

Wish they'd lose the puff counter. What a useless feature!

connection will not be able to be used on this device unless a 510 to EGO adapter is used – this is due to
the increased height of the first shoulder of the factory fitted connector.
Atomisers such as the Kanger T2 T3 fall into the category for example as they have a shallow recessed
connector."

Yup, "beauty" ring, ego thread, 510 thread. So the issue is with the Kanger not being standard?

I did run mine down to "red" once, just to see. It does seem to go from yellow to red fairly quickly, so now I just charge it up every couple of days.

I got mine in the mail today, and can confirm the new ones have ego threading. A Kanger T3 fits on it just fine! That was my only concern, but, it's all good!

Lol my MVP has taken on the tank that was on my vamo, and I'm using those iclear30s that it came with on my vamo because they are surprisingly great. So yeah my MVP took over my vamo too

But I'd say that the MVP is a very solid, but very SIMPLE mod that lasts for days

I just ordered one yesterday. I was going to order an SLB V2 mega, or a Groove as my first foray into VV, but the reviews on the MVP swayed me. I wanted something that will: last all day (my current Kanger S1 650mah last me between 8-12 hours of use), work as a passthrough if needed, and most importantly be durable. I like the box mod form factor over the tube, and the fact that the MVP body is metal. Apparently, I'm leaping over the whole eGo Twist/Spinner phase and jumping right in to a solid, well tested APV thanks to all the advice I've gotten from this great community.

If your 650 lasts you 8 to 12 hours, you're only going to get 3 or 4 DAYS from the MVP

And I pity the poor postal person if it's not in the mail!

Awesome! I only use Artemis tanks, so no worries on Kangers/Clearos/Wiccas pieces. I'll be picking up a vamo as soon as they come into the shop, but I'm definitely going to try and snag one of these bad boys. I can get one for $55 off of iVape, so it's a done deal. Thank you everyone!

I swear I've charged mine about 2-3 times since I got it. It seems to go forever.

The negative: Some people had problems with the charger. I have not, but some people have reported issues.

If I could change one thing, and this is very minor- I wish the button came out a little. It's flush with the body of the pv. You get used to it in a day or two. I have several box mods and maybe I just wasn't used to the button at first.

I think I may get one of these... it seems to me the carbon fiber texture would make it easier to find the fire button if you aren't looking at it.

I happen to like the color of mine, it's a blue-steel. But I might get something to jazz it up. But it is cold!

Except for a couple of twists, all my APV's are black. I'm sort of liking a little color!
