I love everything about it other than the charger port. My micro usb port broke after about 8 months of use. There was no real solution to fix the device other than solder connections that are less than 1mm in size. After getting a joyetech VAMO that was DOA due to the build quality of the 510 connection, I am going to buy another MVP, because I know it will last me at least another 8 months without any issues, probably longer this time.

I bought mine to replace the EGO twists that I used in conjunction with the ProVeri, Because I didn't like the way that the EGO Twists tapered down in power before it would shut off.
The only things I DON'T like about the MVP is the three push power-off. About three times a day I unknowingly turn it off. And it is a tight fit with my ProVeri in the cellphone pocket in my shorts.

Lol my MVP has taken on the tank that was on my vamo, and I'm using those iclear30s that it came with on my vamo because they are surprisingly great. So yeah my MVP took over my vamo too

But I'd say that the MVP is a very solid, but very SIMPLE mod that lasts for days

Don't get me wrong, I still like to break out the VAMO for some juices, but overall, the ease of use, and build quality of the MVP, not to mention the box style form factor have won out over the VAMO. On another note, you got the iClear 30's with your kit? I thought they were only doing the 16's??

So far, so good... I really like the quality of this device. I was using it all afternoon at work, and I like the heft and the way it feels in my hand. I was using it in pass-through mode to get it to full charge, and the light just went out. Reset the puff counter and begin the experiment to see how long it takes me to get to yellow... :)

It makes the S1 look like a kiddie toy in comparison.

Another negative is the non replaceable battery. Once the battery goes bad you have to buy a new unit.

Not trying to discredit your post as non-replaceable batteries are not good for the economy/environment.
But Im pretty sure this is an easy mod/fix. You can buy 18650's with soldering tabs.

Cool. I haven't taken mine apart, but had heard that that might be the case. I'll certainly look into it when the time comes!

I wonder how many other "fixed" battery devices could also be re-powered? Spinners, Twists, and plain old eGos...

Being an inveterate tinkerer, once they start to fail I'll find out :toast:

Yep, they can. I have never bought new cells for them, but have mix-n-matched quite a few dead eGos over the years. The worst part is pulling them apart without damaging them further. Well, that and solder connections that my old eyes require a microscope to see!

Somebody put them together, so the have to come apart - but, as you say, carefully!

I imagine the hard part (after disassembly!) would be to find the right battery to install. I did track down an MVP disassembly, and it appears to have two flat pack batteries in it, so they might be hard to come by... :(

I've had an MVP for a while, and really like it as an out an about device.
I really like:
1)The battery life
2) Form factor.
I don't care for:
1) The shutoff time (Wish this was increased a little- I like to take longer hits at a lower voltage sometimes)

I've also wondered about venting. Most box mods get a pass from this because they a made of plastic and the door comes off easily. However, the MVP is enclosed with aluminum and possibly stainless at the top/bottom. I've haven't been able to find much mentioned concerning this issue.
